Risky absolutely. Think it only works if he's D6. Risky but 100k or more in 1-2 weeks as your last player on the field is not horrible, especially in early rounds.

Yeah D6 would be the only plausible scenario to take him on, putting him at D5 is not worth it

Agree, he's been out of my team because of it too, but reviewing how the Hawks played and more importantly who they allowed to run free, I see them being very happy for Shiel to get the ball and butcher it forward. Will play into their game plan and for us, will see a ton from Shiel.

Plus you’d be copping an early bye with no cash gen benefit too, but it’s definitely a play.

I'm considering going all of Roberts, Perryman, Callaghan and Day to ride the cash.

I think one or two of them will crash and burn (my money on Day the most likely) but I don't want to miss the home run pick. I'm not considering Taylor or Meek though

Although on the Taylor discussion, I’d take the punt on him in the other format as they tend to be more favourable to intercept defenders

Callahan just had the game of his life with 2 goals on top and hit 110. The lack of tackles is what I watching for.

Don't think he will burn you not picking him in fantasy. Maybe in other formats

Can’t justify spending up 250k to say Clark/Holmes over Roberts or Perryman to score similar

1 off hit could end up as only 50 odd points. Surely the money saved spent elsewhere makes it up and more

Second the Trainor call. Think he can do 60. Good junior numbers and will see a lot of ball in our D50

Also. Can we get away with Prior/Trainor at D6/D7? Rest of the team looks so good with that. Best 18 early rounds. Then round 6 we can swing Daniel back there

Daniel is already MID/FWD so won't get another position.

What I am hoping for is that we see Coleman or Mills early on and that should be a relatively easy upgrade to do by the end of the bye rounds.

It's OK. Coleman will only score 50 on your guys. Zorko will score 180 though.

The Darcy Cameron and Sam Taylor play is probably one of the most interesting things I've seen as a Fantasy play, in a while.

Taylor guaranteed to make at least 50-60K. SDK even if he goes 100, likely only makes 30K. Prices end up very close, but you get the added benefit of Taylor having a 118 baked into his score already - and having a jump off in Round 2 if you want to. It's pretty risk averse as a D6 with f*ck all options there.

Cameron, has a 136 in his score, and also has an early bye to jump off at if you'd rather go to TDK or go up to a Gawn, English, RoMa.

More interestingly, you could also play the BE game and ride Cameron all the way up, and then watch Briggs plummet when he returns. Get him in once Cameron tops out, and do the same again with Briggs.

Cameron's early run for the first 8 rounds:

1 - Sweet
2 - English/S. Darcy
3 - BYE
4 - TDK
5 - Grundy
6 - McInerney
7 - Bryan/Draper
8 - SDK/Blicavs

That's not bad at all. Certainly food for thought.

EDIT: Put together a team that would utilize this idea, and go full send for the first part of the season:



Toss up between E. Hewett and F. O'Sullivan, and Knevitt and 230K, as my last decision with this particular side.

Kills it as a junior and VFL. I assume he used to play more lock down and now he gets more free roam? Is that what we are seeing?

Yeah I'm curious too, what makes him a better pick than any other random cheap defender e.g. Luke Cleary?

Does Perryman's performance warrant dropping Rankine to Sanders, or Sheezel to Clarke, to get SDK up to him (at D5)?
Or does Taylor's trump it, meaning skipping Perryman, switching SDK to him instead and riding the price rise?
