What do Dale and Rankine average? 90-95 and 85-90? That's 175-185. Give Sheezel 105-110. That leaves you needing 65-80 from Sanders. It's certainly borderline but I would definitely say there is more upside in Sheezel/Sanders than Dale/Rankine.

Yeah i have Dale going 95-98, Rankine probably 85-90 aswell.

Sheezel 105-112, Sanders is the big one, cause if its 80+ then id go him and sheezel.

I started Rankine last year after all preseason it was constantly he’s going to play a lot more mid. Didn’t happen, missed Heeney as a result, scored terribly and is on my never again list.

There's an old saying in punting circles, "never bet sentimental", "bet where you think you can win"! I know its not easy, it requires a leap of faith but sometimes that can be a good thing. Its the same for fantasy just a little bit different, lots and lots of people that get burnt from a player, run the line through them the next year, no matter what, so my advice is don't pick sentimental, pick your best team or potentially your best team.

Another old racing saying that applies here as well, "always forgive a horse one bad run", so why not forgive a player one bad year, they are only human after all! You'll find that nearly all the winners of AFL Fantasy have at some stage used these methods, that is why {along with some luck and good teams and trades and other things} that they finished on top and not somewhere in the top 20.000, but some people just can't do it, then they spew when the player they couldn't put into their team goes ballistic and scores like an "A grader" and even blame themselves citing they are jinxed or never meant to go well for that year as well as hating the player, when in actual fact they made the choice to axe that player forever or for that year.

Heeney was another one, so many times being talked up for extra midfield time, people took the punt more than once and got burnt, dumping him in the 'never again' basket, only for it to finally eventuate and they missed the boat.

LOL ...I remember last pre-season, everyone was discussing their FWD options ...when I raised what are people's thoughts on Heeney, I was ridiculed

It seems every year there's a player who'll pop up that we haven't considered

Ignoring the 'group think' isn't easy, was one, if not the best of my starting picks

they will most likely be my emg mid baring injuries / byes to my starters

1. Caleb Winsor - if moves to half back, could get DPP
2. Jake Soligo, could continue growth from last year
3. James Peatling recruited from GWS, should get TOG increase
4. Sam Durham - consistant perfromer, not sure about big boost in scoring.

Draper v Lalor v FOS. Or anyone that is not Smith or Ashcroft who are most likely gone at 1 and 2. No position requirements in our league either.

That's tough....but I think Lalor will have more opportunity to be top dog in a midfield group.

1. Draper - high accumulator and no hurt factor. The perfect fantasy specimen. Won’t be much use this year though
2. Lalor
3. FOS as he’s generally suited to a more outside role
