Any DEF rook options I can expel Leake for? Already got Trainor and Reid.

With the Eagles getting their pants pulled down, might see a Bo Allan debut so could be an option there. Not convinced on his scoring ability though.
Bice. He looked good when he came on and had kick ins over Roberts. As long as he isn't sub. Or Allan if named, as he might have better JS with how bad the West Coast team is.

Saints/ Crows fans - was Garcia really that bad?

4th most CBAs, 5 clearances, and Crows were dominant from start to finish it seems.

59 from 61% ToG in a hammering - surely not too bad for another look?
A case where he was there but not doing a lot. He's slow to get to the contest and gets knocked off the ball easily. Doesn't really look AFL standard to me. Crows definitely bullied and outworked the entire Saints midfield all game. I don't know if they'll fare much better against Geelong.

Appreciate it!

Missed week 1 and the Suns historic win in my hometown due to F1

So have caught some results, 2072. Not bad not good,

Fading Cerra & TDK looked bad, considering I went Gawn as captain. I think that extra 200k I would of tried to sneak in Perryman anyways.

Darcy cameron stinky but understandable due to the nature of the game. Was hoping Bergman could get more chippy footy

The extra cash I had for Cerra went into Will Ashcroft can anyone explain why this guy didn’t score well?

Freijah had a kick in, CBAs and ruck contests

We all bring him in and Bevo shunts him to the bench, Subs him early and drops him the next week.

2089 ranked 15294, a pretty middling score but something to work with.

Have the De Koning bros, Smith, Finlayson and most of the good rookies, but missed Lindsay, Boyd and Warner. Like a few, started Ash and Taylor for a cash grab and a bit of a look see as to who's value.

Freijah looked good, but up against North which probably inflated his score, not sure I want to go there yet. Think I'll wait a week and see how he goes, got Peatling in the mids who could be swapped via Holmes.

Think the go is to deal with Ash & Taylor, grab their cash and get a solid keeper along with a missed rookie.

Got Peatling, Day and Flynn to deal with, but have Daicos & Neale in my sights.

One round in and already I give up.

Zero round screwed with me big time. Got FOMO on Perryman and Day so moved the team around to trade up SDK to Perryman and also get Day in (which also involved trading down Gawn to D.Cameron to free up funds). All moves cost me 150+ points if I'd just not touched anything.

While we wait for lockout to lift:

  • What would have been your score had you fielded the right rookies; and
  • What score could you have done if you had that one obvious change you were debating over in the lead up to R1

For me:

Scored 2038, but could have scored: 2138 if i fielded Reid over Sam Taylor (+16), Lindsay over FOS (+43), Lashcroft over Campo (+12) and Co Warner over Dr Davidson (+22).

Then the one change I was "realistically" stressing over could have been: Parryman for Freijah (+54), Perryman for Dan Rioli (+29) or Hutchinson over Garcia (+12) - I can't say I was ever realistically looking at SDK given his poor pre-season game, questionable role and bye.

So could have been 2192 or so if a few things went different ways.

I would have had Freijah over Wagner, Knevitt over Peatling, NOD over Jar Jar Hollands.
And still would be crapola. :)

I got the best possible score on my field based on the team i had.

I did want Prior up to Freijah but couldn't figure out a way how without destroying my team.

Best case would've been Perryman > Freijah.

Would've taken me from a 2212 > 2266.

I don't want to think about it

Side reveal?
My team is nothing special, but I got a few things right.

I captained Xerri and selected TDK (120+).

I chose SDK (120+) in defence the morning of the Geelong game. He looked hopeless in the practice match but he scored 3 x 100 late last year in the ruck role. I put more emphasis on those results than the practice match.

I didn't choose Perryman or Taylor. Wanganeen-Milera worked out well.

In the midfield I chose Cerra (97) and Powell (120+). Powell was a non-negotiable lock in my team. He's burnt me previously, but this preseason he's had high CBA attendances and has been scoring really well.

So 5 scores over 120 (including Sniff) helped along with NWM's 113 and Rozee's 112. But I also fielded a 51, 53, 59 and 62.

I could have scored 2204 if I'd fielded Reid over Prior (+1) and Camporeale over O'Sullivan (+25).

Scored 2077

Rookie wise
+1 for Z.Reid over Prior
+25 for Campo over O'Sullivan

Alternate moves
My final XvsY scenario came down to

Option A (where I went): S.Taylor, Callaghan, Cerra and Rankine (343)
or
Option B: SDK, Petracca, JHF, NOD (386)
So potentially +43 on option 2

So could have been a 2,146 I guess.

2094 and a rank around 13k.

Not too displeased with that as I don't have as much to patch up as I thought halfway through the Saturday night games.

Players I need to be rid of; Perryman, Leake, Stone, Garcia (perhaps a bit rough, he will likely get another week)

Players I need in; SDK, Scorey Warner, Knevitt, Lindsay

Looks like lockout has been lifted just now.
