Game Day 2025 Fantasy Round 6 Discussion ...Ch-ch-changes

I've had him since Opening Round. Has been a roller coaster. Felt like an idiot Week 1 when he scored 66 (less than Xavier Lindsay who I think I had on my bench, behind Finn O'Sullivan). But then recovered with a 90 against the Eagles, but not great considering the easy match up. Scored really well for what was effectively an 'underpriced premium' across the next 3 weeks - 115 Geelong, 105 Richmond, 101 Doggies, but has now dropped up this absolute stinker.

That Round 1 score and his soft (fantasy) performance against the Eagles confirmed for me he was never a premium I'd hold through the Byes so I was always ready to move if his run got harder or if he dropped a stinker like last night.

It's unfortunate it's happened now when he still has a relatively easy run coming up - Saints, Suns, North, Melbourne, across the next four, but I really don't want to hold him through that entire period with a 41 in his score. He would need to come out and smash a big 120+ to turn his score around or risk him losing a lot of value.

Using DFS' price projector his 41 will make him lost roughly $25k this week (taking him down to $874k) from there even if he's scoring 90's he still drops a further $35k over the next two weeks (Saints, Gold Coast), taking him all the way down into the low 800's before the Geelong and Melbourne games.

You could maybe keep him and hope for an uptick post the Melbourne game - but meanwhile if he puts in poor games against Saints or GC the result is compounded. He could be below 800k if he drops a sub-60 score again.

I think i'll take the opportunity to get him to Naicos this week.
I think his biggest issue is he’s essentially fourth banana. Dunks and Neale are clear 1-2. Then luggage is in pretty good form and seems third one in. Then his brother is also competing for time in there and actually doing quite a good job for a first year. Just too many quality guys going through there. It’s the reason I traded him to you in our other league haha. Was looking like a shocking move before tonight though…

I know - thought he was good enough to impact as a 4th option, but he doesn't try hard enough. As someone said above, he just jogs around. I fail to believe that's just limited to him being 4th banana, he also is just not trying hard enough.

I'll need an injury to be comfortable with him - but not Dunkley because he's in my classic team, and not McLuggage because he's in my keeper team, so I guess Neale is the unlucky one...

Can get Daicos next week with Lash/Maric up and down

Happy to do it just wondering if fading Lashcroft early is the way to go

If you can get to a ceiling type premo with a decent matchup then yes. Jumping off Levi early could be a move although risky given his ownership.

I went early on Maric this week right before lockout to get Daicos even though I just got him. It was only the only way to get Daicos and Cleary in. I saw Maric only has 60-80k of cash left in him if he keeps up these 70 scores (3 of the last 4 in 70's).

I'd rather take my chances on the premo I want plus a rookie. I'm hoping Maric doesn't go crazy today

who would you feel more confident in fielding, El Hawli , M. Carroll or Prior?

My gut tells me El Hawli if he ain’t sub

Thank god its not Pitto lol
Plus Pitto at half time is just 7 HO, 1 K 6 HB, zero marks or tackles. Not coming in next week either you'd suggest on that stellar stuff!

You a Walsh coach - watch him an hour before game time.

100%, if ElHawli avoids the cardigan. Then Carroll, he looked good last week!

Nope. Just Cerra, mini helmut & TDK in 1st game.

Can you loop El-Hawli ?
I was thinking of looping Carroll… and then popping El- Hawli on field if he has stinker or is subbed out… risky tho as I could lose the Daicos VC loop if Harry Boyd plays
(Currently Leake on field)

Don't risk the Naicos (VC) ....Tough position to be in, if El-Hawli is not the sub, you choose him ....problem is you won't know when CARL play

Rookie question follow up question here…

If I pop Mid/DEF player (Carroll) in the utility as my “Defender emergency”.. and he has a terrible game and then I decide I want to loop El-Hawli or Prior from my defender bench which score would count?

Lowest of the two emergencies (utility vs def emerg) or highest?

It would take the lowest score of your two emergencies.

Saints fans, is my fearless captain Harry Boyd any danger to play this weekend?
I am to scared to risk it, have been very tempted but i need to make the call before this afternoons game and Saints name their squad.

If Daicos got 155+ i would feel more risky but it’s a pretty significant risk this early in the round and with so much time before their game.

So i can trade Sanders and hold NOD for another week to get Daicos VC score, would be fielding Lindsay though over keeping Sanders.. Is this even worth it? As im probably not risking Boyd loop now.
Not that I'm any font of knowledge, but decided to hold NOD, and get rid of another similarly priced mid-pricer that will likely lose a little coin, only because a relative I know over there was talking to him and he said the ankle is coming olong better - what that actually means I can't tell you more, but I felt is was worth a shout and a hold.

No late change for Doch. ….. yet
That's a pity. Walsh now listed on field after being on the bench before subs named. Have Doc in a draft team.
