I hope GWS get to us in the prelim so we can extinguish that demon for this season.
FLAG OR FAILURE 2025
Sneaky chance?
Beat them by 11 goals not long ago
Genuine 50/50
This is my hot take and I'm happy to be called wrong but I don't really rate Morris. Don't get me wrong he's a smart player with a nice kick and likely to develop further but he's the focal point of a forward line supplied by some of the best mids in the game, of course he's going to reliably get a few goals. You could put Ollie Henry of 2023-2024 in his position and he'd be tracking similarly imoReckon Lions put up more of a fight v Pies in the prelim though, so hope they find a way over the Suns.
Can’t see Clug, Morris, Bailey having two poor games in a row.
Either way I can't really see Pies not making the GF from hereReckon Lions put up more of a fight v Pies in the prelim though, so hope they find a way over the Suns.

100%. That’s why I love the “soft” run home. Tested well at times but easy enough for no injuries and to be fresh come finals. And we showed that.Everything coming up Millhouse with the other results this week and Neale/Hipwood ruled out for the season.
It will be a long time before we get a better chance than this at a flag.
Sorry to intrude but we conceded 72 inside 50s and outside that burst of goals they kicked 5 the rest of the game. Think he defence held up pretty well considering. Still need to find a way to neutralise momentum it's a real issue for us but I wouldn't assume our defensive accountability wasn't great more a midfield problem as it's been a real strength all year.Confident that the Crows will bounce back. Don’t think the GWS/Hawks game was a good form reference. Lack of defensive accountability from both teams was glaring.
Bris/GC should be a cracker. Sway towards Bris with their finals experience and the Suns have to come back down to earth after last night which may prove difficult.
Regardless a Cats v Pies GF looks pretty short odds to eventuate.

I reckon they are shot without Neale and HipwoodI said the Geelong v Brisbane game was the GF preview and I'm not changing my mind.
Hipwood was never playing against Geelong and it was doom and gloom pre game here and most tipped Brisbane to win, unless you're assuming 1 player out of a strong midfield makes a difference.I reckon they are shot without Neale and Hipwood
I think the bigger issues for the Lions, which we weren't willing to admit until we beat them, are:Hipwood was never playing against Geelong and it was doom and gloom pre game here and most tipped Brisbane to win, unless you're assuming 1 player out of a strong midfield makes a difference.
I don't think Hipwood is that crash hot anyway. There were calls for him to be dropped in the media as Morris has performed better.
I still expect them to beat GC and Collingwood but only time will tell.I think the bigger issues for the Lions, which we weren't willing to admit until we beat them, are:
-Ah Chee and Cameron being badly out of form
-Morris receiving no help and the season may be taking a toll on his young body.
-Rayner is running hot and cold
-Two of their best defenders are out, and another in Lester appears cooked.
-They cannot put together a few strong performances in a row.
Now these things are manageable but throw Neale and his leadership out - they are gettable. However a bounce back through to a grand final wouldn't shock me either. I'm on the fence with them. They did look surprisingly battered on Friday, but our immense pressure put a real spotlight on it. Not all teams can apply that.

I'll be surprised if GC get within 4 goals.Potentially although I think that gc will trouble them aerially at both ends and unless they are prepared to tag Rowell they are going to find it tough. Macinerney is likely cooked and retiring but they may have to bring him back in.
For Bris to have a chance i think Dunkley needs to got to Rowell or Anderson... He has to stop 1Potentially although I think that gc will trouble them aerially at both ends and unless they are prepared to tag Rowell they are going to find it tough. I just can’t see how they beat us. They are so lucky Adelaide had a shocker. On the surface I agree.
But imagine losing to them on the day.
We might not even get the neutral support either![]()
