It was almost exactly 12.04pm today. I was no.358 in the queue when it froze, then when it opened got in within 30 seconds.

Excellent. Will be opposite to that, one level up. No chance of having to deal with you.

You should take binoculars with you and peer across to the opposite side of the ground and look for the happiest looking person in the crowd.

That will be me, because you're so far away.

ohh yeah perhaps that is the case.

I still haven't quite pegged when the best time to get into the queue is. I think about 20min early is a risk, can go on too early, get in before it is on sale, and then you start over.
15 min is ok but can be too late - sweet spot is somewhere between 15-20 min before they are on sale I think.

Kicking you back in the queue is weird and it shouldn't happen. You didn't refresh or anything like that?

You can always try via the preliminary final function on the clubs website, if that is something that would interest you .

Think it comes with a level 1 reserved seating.

At 12:30 the app updated to say AFL reserve was sold out. Cousin of Daicos I got through after getting this message. As long as you aren’t getting too many tickets hang in there!

fully agree on that - also Gold only for prelims, then open it up to silver. When I was restricted membership in the 90s, I could only do first two weeks of finals. Not prelims.

Totally think the same should apply for prelims as the GF

I think he means Collingwood / Brisbane AFL Members should go before any non-competing club AFL Members.

See what happens now - an Essendon member for example, buys a ticket and sells it to his Collingwood mate, who isn't even a member. And genuine members who support Collingwood miss out.

I like how the MCC has photo ID on the member card, and even when you upgrade your membership to a reserve seat, you still use your actual membership to get entry. Makes it a bit harder to sell to your mates.

Anyone missing out on AFL Members buy through the club allocation with your AFL barcode. It will cost more but there are tickets available.

It's a big positive about the MCC.

The downside is them allowing visitors to get tickets the same time as full members. I know full members who couldn't get a ticket. I wish they would allow priority access to members who have a club affiliate though money prevails.

Yeah I went 11:39 and was scared as I was in a work training session so couldn’t keep track of it. Opened up at 11:55 and was relieved to find my queue number, but it was still going down when I had to go back to training at 11:42, so not sure what time it stopped, but was dropped 700-800 each update before that!

I got m27 for that reason, went for undercover due to the forecast, I’m right up the back but at least I’ll stay dry!

For AFL members it should be gold members only for PF and competing clubs first for GF
