Ticketek has the last laugh lol Pricks

Even the seemingly modest $6 admin fee paid by every member who enters the ballot adds up. Consider this: if just 45 per cent of Collingwood, Geelong, Brisbane Lions and Hawthorn members register for this year’s ballot, they will be forking out $1 million in administration fees.

M50 for me and this was through the pies allocation…

It’s not the ponsford but I’m there at least
It’s great to be there, but when the club promotes members to pack the Ponsford and we can’t actually get in the stand, it’s a little disappointing.

Locked in all our tickets for the family and extended family. Taking my 'Dad' who has only a few months left to live with lung cancer. He has been at 11 Collingwood winning Premierships. Will be the last games he attends. Let's make it 12 for him.

Well, it turns out that the people that had expressed interest now either can’t take all three of our tickets, or have pulled out altogether. So our three tickets are back up for grabs. Located together Level 4 mid Q50s, front.

PM me if interested. Otherwise will look at offloading to family.

Background: We each purchased a Grand Finals Plus Pass from the AFL Event Office when the tickets went on sale a few months back. Site here:

https://afleventoffice.com.au/grand_final_packages.php

It’s the one that says “from $1,795”. We paid $2,195 to get better quality seats. The pass includes GF tickets plus Prelim tickets plus a gift thing (we got them given how well the Pies were playing in the middle of the year. I’m only an interstate member so had little chance of securing a GF ticket otherwise). We all have young families and can’t get away from our wives and kids two weeks in a row, so we are taking the punt that we’ll make it to the GF!

In terms of sale price we’d just want the fair market price ($150ea x3). Happy to facilitate video call or exchange of ID or something if the people need confidence

Incredible. I’m sure a lot of heart ache too in between. Win or lose, though, you’re lucky to be able to have that shared experience one last time. I know people agonise over our lost GFs, yes they hurt, but you gotta remember you don’t personally get anything in life if your team wins a flag. At the end of the day you are there to share memories together, joy and pain alike and one amplifies the other because of the journey you’ll have been on. Enjoy it Saturday!

Been at 11 winning GFs? If he was at the 1927 GF, even as a newborn, that'd mean he's 98 years old!!! If he was at the game as a young child, then he must over over 100.

Does the club know this!!!!!

hey all
before i try calling the club, i thought i'd try here for first...
i like many on here registered for the GF ballot last week (i am a Legends member)
i have no credit card saved on my Ticketek account and can not locate an option anywhere where you can save one 'on file'
when i paid the GF ballot fee last week i had to manually enter my credit card info
IF we're lucky enough to get through saturday vs brisbane, does anyone have any idea on how they'll go about charging for the GF tickets without there being a credit card saved on file on my Ticketek account?
any help would be great.. thanks

The card you used to enter the ballot will be used.

Has raised the bat so doing damn well. I told him I would let the club know and he told me very kindly no. Actually, wasn't kind lol. Thats not him. No fuss, no BS. Part of the generation they called 'The Greatest Generation'. He just wants to watch the footy.

I understand the sentiment. My dad, who is also getting on would be exactly the same.

The need for external validation fades with age. He's not there for attention or a pat on the back, just wants to see his club kick arse.

I hope your dad finds joy through the Pies' endeavour on Saturday.
