Entered the ballot. I'm priority 1 and chose non-standing. It better not void my guaranteed ticket if pies make it....

Errrr I think I stuffed up my GF ballot selection. I was rushing coz I didn’t want to miss out submitting. But I misread option of include or exclude standing room. I hope I don’t get standing room if we qualify

nowhere on the email does it say it waives guaranteed ticket if you don't select Standing Room

P2 member in the ballot. Logged on around 10:15am, no wait, simple process. Being able to login anytime between 9-6 is much better than having a window for each priority group, which has been the case other years.

At the time of registration, Members can elect not to receive Standing Room ticket(s), however if all Members in the group are able to stand for the duration of the day, it’s strongly recommended to select Option 1 –‘ I will accept the best available ticket – including Standing Room’. Electing not to select this option will waive the guaranteed access to purchase a Grand Final ticket for Members in P1 Plus/P1 and reduce the chance of being successful in obtaining a Grand Final ticket for Members in P2/P3.

Weird. You'd think those seats would be allocated at the end of the ballot, just before the standing and restricted view. Sounds like they set the system up wrong and offered those seats prior to the better Level 1 and 2 seats. Which is what they sometimes do in home and away matches. Ie: sell inferior seats first so they aren't left unsold at the end.

IIRC there was about 13 people who were P1 in 2023 and missed because they didn't choose standing. I remember they complained and ended up getting a seated ticket in the end

Only 1,000 standing spaces are allocated for the GF. You'd have to be incredibly unlucky to be P1 and get one of those

My recollection from 2023 was that the prioritisation extended as far as getting a ticket, but the actual distribution of tickets on a quality basis was still randomised.

I presume that the system operated in such a way that if you were allocated a standing room ticket and elected to choose no standing room you were simply bypassed.

Not how I’d set up such a system but that’s how it appeared to have operated. Caveat this with I have no actual knowledge of exactly what went down and just speculating on the basis of feedback on sites like this.
