We should have at least one game a season where we cover the entire ground with A4 sheets of paper and then we'll finally see who's the best team!
"We understand our fans want certainty and in these first 16 weeks we have scheduled a number of exciting marquee matches that our fans can plan around while the dates for Rounds 16 to 23 will be confirmed four to six weeks out, and round 24 to remain floating"

Is this right? Round 17/18 are school holidays so it makes it difficult for families to arrange any holidays around the footy!
I think you’re right. It depends where everyone sits on the ladder to which Essendon team we will get on the night. You wouldnt likely see them travel to GC first then come back for our game.Essendon v Gold Coast added to round 24 likely to impact our game against Esssendon - ours could be the first game of the round you’d think.

Ralphy's reporting that the game is likely to happen on Wednesday the 28th or Thursday the 29th of August. Just before the pre finals byeWouldn’t the extra game be a week later anyway - plus Gold Coast are in Adelaide for round 24 so also would have to play early to give both of them some days off - if neither team are likely to make Finals then they could get the Saturday slot otherwise they probably play Friday

I’m a little worried about this. But Mitch Cleary floated this suggestion;Essendon v Gold Coast added to round 24 likely to impact our game against Esssendon - ours could be the first game of the round you’d think.
That’s a real mutha ….. Had pencilled that in for a trip but it’s sounding like the GC vs ESS game will be an abnormal time slot (e.g. Mon, Tues, Wed) which may affect our game timing, though it could = a Thurs night game too (bonus, if flights can be secured)Essendon v Gold Coast added to round 24 likely to impact our game against Esssendon - ours could be the first game of the round you’d think.
Not sure I would like a Thursday game the week prior to the pre finals bye. Could mean 17-18 days between games leading in to a final. Nit sure would benefit a relatively young group to have that long to “think about” an up coming assignment. That’s a real mutha ….. Added to that is the late notice on the last round rostering with the floating fixture b/s.
We play 3 games in 11 days including travel from Perth and Adelaide. What a joke this league has become.Traveling to Port on a 5-day break, and then playing Hawks on a 5-day break. Horrible.
With Dillon and Kane at the helm it's no suprise.Seriously, someone gets paid to do these fixtures, or do they just pull them out of their aa hat
