Cream rose to the top last night no doubt. Plus as Mini said we probably gave them some easy looks out the back trying to chase the win but gee whiz another case of an away team getting a cushy days break advantage for their away game at Optus compared to us who are more often than not also returning from the east coast in the lead up. I’d certainly suggest the older Geelong team would have benefited from a 10 day break storming home in the last quarter when our young side was gassed.

And now we’ve got North in our neutral venue game where they’re coming off their bye. We’ve got a 7 day break but let’s really call it 6.5 with a Sunday night game leading into the early Sunday game next week. Thankfully no travel other than a 2 hour bus ride.

Finally get parity in terms of days break with our opponents in Round 14 (Carlton) and then get the Pies away off our bye which is a small fixture win we’ll take.

Then normal service is resumed the following week when we have a Friday night home game after a Saturday night away game (hence get back into Perth early Sunday AM) against the Giants who, you guessed it, are coming off their bye.

All just “quirks of the fixture” I guess.

Realistically probably only a chance to win the Richmond game on the run home but hopefully we can really push a few good sides and maybe if we get someone on a bad day we can pinch another win.

Without being morbid I wonder how much the Selwood stuff had in the way we played that day?

Feel like we should introduce more kids to try and get some youthful enthusiasm happening.

May only win 1 or 2 games this year but a better year than last year winning 5 weirdly.
