Expecting them to wait another couple weeks, even though nothing will happen during that time to change what they're going to end up doing.

Should probably be this...

Fri 7.15pm: Syd v Ess - Coffs

Sat 1.05pm: Rich v GC - Ikon
Sat 3.05pm: Coll v BL - VP
Sat 5.05pm: Adel v Frem - Norwood
Sat 7.15pm: Geel v Melb - GMHBA

Sun 1.05pm: StK v WB - RSEA
Sun 3.05pm: Haw v NM - Kinetic
Sun 5.05pm: WCE v Carl - Leederville

And GWS v PA on at the same time as one of the afternoon games.

Not sure if the Frankston ground has lights, but I would like to see the North v Hawthorn game played on the Friday night, we haven't played a night game yet this season and the only one we have at this stage is the Richmond game in Round 9.
Frankston has broadcast quality lights and we've hosted several AFLW night games in the past.

Cool McCool :)

In the second last round, North actually play St Kilda early Sunday afternoon, so the AFL may not want to give us a five and a half day break leading into the finals, so perhaps Saturday Night could be an option.

We could easily rest a bunch of players for that saints game

Not likely, in all probability the girls will be trying to equal Geelong's record of 23 straight wins. While they will tell you it doesn't matter to them, secretly I think they would be ecstatic to equal and then beat that record the following week and won't want to miss a game.

We’ll beat them with anyone playing

While I have no doubts we will beat the record and probably increase into the thirties (at least) next season, I don’t think any of the players will want to miss the chance to play in the final two games where we equal and then break the record.

Will be an interesting game at Frankston.
North are probably the most direct team in the comp, which means the narrowness of the ground wont be as big of a problem for them, but the extra length might expose their leading patterns

Might be an "interesting" game in the sense that Frankston is usually a windy shithole like Windy Hill.

The length of the ground is the same as Fremantle Oval and a bunch of others where they've just scraped over the line.

Massive game to start R12 with
Shithouse by the league. Giving a 5 day break to the already injury-stricken premiership favourite going into the finals, and not even taking advantage of the timeslot to move what is in theory a top of the table clash from Frankston to Princes Park.

North left a solid 5 goals out there vs freo due to the dimensions (even if it was a smacking)

Hawthorn is a different outfit defensively to freo too

Translation: haven't watched a game not involving Hawthorn, and have no idea about the dimensions of other grounds.

Annnnyway, touched on it during the weekend, the league didn't do a good job with the R10 fixture:

2 games on at 3pm, nothing on from 5pm-7pm. Obviously because those first 3 venues don't have reliable TV quality lighting (which may or may not be necessary in mid-October, but better to not risk it).

Double-header at Ikon Park from 5pm would be the obvious solution. Another missed opportunity for the AFL to concentrate resources, concentrate attendance, and build up a special event.

Instead Melbourne play their 5th game at Casey this season. The first 4 were such packed-out pulsating affairs, so why change a good thing!
