So all midfielder have to be stars then ? Like I said. If he is fit and you block for him he will win you clearance at a very high level. If he is not fit then he is a liability. He can be replaced but if you have him injury free and you work with his one wood he can be very effective.

I couldn’t think of too more opposite players to be comparing.

Snelling main quality was effort and defensive intensity but just not up to afl standard athletically. Parish on a good Day is one of the best players in the comp and on a bad day a traffic cone

Would be keen in this area. Can be a genuine small forward aswell to hopefully fill out the 3 mosquito fleet of Kako, Davey and someone else

The last name we really drafted before Perkins in this role was Jordan Houlahan (yes probably missing one or two, point remains)

It's an area we've neglected. A fwd half mercurial match winner. Perhaps Munkarra as the last one.


If we can nab one, id be happy. Developn for a couple of years and then have lift off.

IF Drapers at FF in the AFL then Surely 2MP is in the VFl along with Gerryn. Not sure there’s room for Eckersley in that group

Get a proper full forward and maybe another medium who can mark(Langford + 1), upgrade Menzie and we could actually have a combative, versatile and unique group.

Forward line is my biggest concern. Shining light is two kids, with the occasional cameo appearance from Perkins, Wright and Gresham. On ballers and wingers like Martin, Merrett, Durham, Duursma and now Clarke chime in with a few goals now and then but permanent forwards just don’t give enough. Caddy is our leading goal kicker with 12 goals. I think we’ve done OK to be 6 and 4 with our lack of firepower.

I look at Charlie Cameron, Tyson Stengel, Tom Papley, Toby Green and wish we could have one of those
