Dusty Ave about 20 touches and 3 tackles a game his first few seasons. About the same as Reid is now. Dusty played a bit more forward though so he was banging through goals pretty regularly.
Different players but give Reid a bit more time forward and he's not far off in terms of trajectory.
Agree that he just needs someone to sit him down and channel the FIGJAM attitude into his training, rather than leaving it all for the games.
You could see pretty early on that Dusty had some special traits. Reid looks fat, lazy and disinterested unless it's on his terms. For a kid who was hands down the best junior coming through in a decade he's been extraordinarily underwhelming. Needs his arse kicked into line by someone with a bit of authority. He needs a reality check and his head pulled in by someone with some clout. He probably thrives under some flog like Dangerfield to guide him. His ego would get swamped in his aura.
