Another year, another Geelong prelim. Gotta hand it to them, they’ve mastered consistency in this era of modern footy.

They’re my second most hated team (behind pies and temporarily crows this week) but man respect where it’s due.

All that being said; a Geelong Collingwood grand final would be the flipping worst.

The cats have such an elite system.

When you look at there squad how many A grade elite players do they actually have.

Role players that do there job it’s insane what they get out of some of there players
most well drilled and disciplined unit. plus their role players can play anywhere, all versatile as **** and pop up all around the ground

There’s a reason Ross references Geelong in so many of his pressers, or tv shows - the admin, the professionalism, and of course the incentives they use to get players to come to them.
He really admires them, and love or hate them you have to give it to them.
They are an incredibly run club and the results reflect it.

If its either Collingwood or Geelong winning the flag I will be very glad Ill be flying out of thr country the day later
I think i might still be out of the country. Currently I am in Crete.

"16 years on from a very famous toepoke on this ground"

Shut the **** up

Just think, next year we'll have "16 years from that famous right angle leg break on this ground" so they can piss off two sports at the same time.

Then they'll reshuffle the advert and instead of Rooey getting jumped it'll be free air and many balls thrown at a face.

Hopefully last night's game is the worst umpiring we'll see for the finals series.
I actually think there was only one real shitful free kick last night (albeit argurablt the worst one of the year).

The follow up was all on Guthrie and absolutely the right decision and the rest of the night I didn’t think was too bad (probably too hot on HTB early)

Ryan is only a couple of years younger than him and was never as good as him. I'm not going to pretend I ever watch West Coast, but I'm not really sure why we want him.
Cameron, like Liam Ryan hasn't lost speed but Charlie genuinely looks like he doesn't want to be out there anymore. How many time did he have to go at a contest and just stood back or went half hearted in a big final

As much as I hate seeing or admitting it Geelong were a level above last night. They would have to be hot favourites to win the flag now, I cant see any other side matching what they served up last night. Collingwood are a different side at the MCG, but I think they played their big final against Adalaide. Collingwoods forward line will struggle to kick enough goals IMO.

Blicavs is the most under rated player in the competition. He filled in rucking last night and beat Fort and was still able to play the tall utility role around the ground. His versatility is something to behold and he is a big reason Geelong have been able to fill list holes over his tenure.

I think the only thing she never told us is what her favourite colour is

Track one of her 83 grand kids and they'll be able to tell you for sure. My guess is beige.
