Ouch the poor bugger they are not fun to recover from and to have two in such a short time frame will be tough.

Just a fun fact I learnt the other day, that they use hamstring grafts from cadavers now to replace the torn ACL - rather than your own hamstring tendon.

Do they? I had an ACL reco about a year ago and they used tendon from my hamstring.

Did you play senior footy Steady?

no,

i played u/19's from just before i turned 15 (85') and won its b&f in 88. In 88 i played a handful of reserve games as well. I was still eligible for u/19 in 89' but likely to play reserves or better at the start of 89.

spent all pre season in senior group, played in all the senior praccy matches and was in the squad for the first night game pre season comp they used to run but did my knee on the saturday, 3 days before that game.

That's awesome St S.
Now you can tell us about how you were playing backyard cricket and he asked you to show him how to bowl a leg break.

he was actually a batsman growing up and didnt start bowling leg spin till around 19 yrs old when he got cut and was too old for u/19's. A yr later he was bowling for vic

in cricket I used to bowl to him on turf when our school 1st elevens played against each other as i was an opener/first change bowler and he batted around 4 or 5
