Well, you've got Lattrelle Pickett there, Jevan Phillipou, Noah Higgins-Hargreaves who might fit that bill. Or you could put a bid on Max King (Swans) or the Bombers' pair of small forward/mids.

You do realise it's your pick, now?

In the tradition of #28 Choppy, l'll take Pickett.

Ok I'll throw down a bid on Jack Ison.
Now back to you Giant Strides to see if you want to match for the blues
Well, that's a bugger. Carlton will match that bid. Would have preferred to take a selection ahead of matching for Ison.

Pick 20 - Carlton - Jack Ison (Carlton NGA)

STRENGTHS:

  • Agility
  • Decision making
  • Kicking
  • Poise
  • Upside
  • Versatility

While Ison’s spread of traits arguably puts him among the top 25 of this year’s draft class, being club-tied may bump his bid down the order a touch. Nonetheless, Carlton would be remiss not to match for its NGA prospect, whose slick ball use and ability to connect inside 50 suit a clear list need. With Elijah Hollands told to explore his options, Ison may well be the long-term replacement. He could be anything, really.

captainMyCaptain - back to you for Geelong's pick while I do the pick matching calculations.

GEE bid @ #20, requires 673 points to match.

Carlton matches with: #21 (721 points)

Excess 48 points, equates to pick #52 returned.

I've also removed the final Carlton pick off the board to compensate (no more list spots available).

GEE bid @ #21, requires 637 points to match.

Sydney matches with:
  • #26 - 561 points
  • #27 - 533 points
  • total - 1094 points, residual 457 points, which returns pick #30 to Swans.
Originally, I was going to comment that I wasn't sure if I would match on Max King, with Harry Kyle now rated higher in most eyes, and the points loss might impact that. But at this point, it's still worth it even as the points dry up. Getting #30 back, plus their later pick (originally #42 but now #38) means that Swans have enough points to match a bid on Harry even if it's done with the next pick. And then under the new rules, they just have to hold their breath and they can match for free from #37 onwards.

New draft order after that match is below. In addition, based on the finalised draft order from AFL House this afternoon, I've identified a number of picks that would not have actually been given out in the first place due to lack of list spots. I'll remove them from the draft order in a later update,, and also fill in the final two rounds (which are less than 10 picks) based on that AFL information).

Fremantle are willing to put pick 23 on the table for a future first rounder and a pick slide, if someone wishes to take Jevan Phillipou or Noah Hibbens-Hargreaves off our hands. I'll leave this open for the next 2 hours until 12:30 AWST

Adelaide - PMBangers
Collingwood - Maximus 2011
Essendon - GWS Goose
GWS - captainMyCaptain
Hawthorn - sydney_gws
Melbourne - Maximus 2011
St Kilda - Determinant
Western Bulldogs - Maximus 2011

React with a dislike as a no or PM me
