I have updated the pick order after the Sydney Swans martched on Harry Kyle.

I also removed the picks that can't be used by clubs due to lack of list spots, plus added in the round 5 & 7 picks (not that I expect that we'll get that far in picking):

In order to align with a bit of realism, I will take our highest rated (incorrectly) academy prospect and move things along.

33. WCE - Tylah Williams, Small FWD, Swan Districts & WA

A more extensive write up will come, but Tylah has buoyed into late first and second round discussions off the back of an extremely impressive combine. Despite his two flaws in his game in my opinion being scoreboard impact and accumulation, he's ranked as our best NGA.

Onto Melbourne with Maximus 2011 when he decides to join us

I haven't heard from Maximus 2011 so I'll select for Melbourne to keep this moving along.

At pick #34, Melbourne selects Talor Byrne.

Having lost Charlie Spargo, Demons will be looking for another small forward to complement Kozzy as the centrepiece of their small forwards, the remainder of their small forewards being largely there and thereabouts. So if Talor Byrne can develop into a player who can complement Kozzy, it will be a big boost to their currently limited scoring power.

Byrne possesses quite a well-rounded skillset which suits how modern day small forwards operate. He plays at a high intensity and can get it done going both ways, either crafting direct paths towards goal or applying punishing pressure to the opposition. Long-distance travel has been part of Byrne’s journey and he will have no issues heading interstate. His no-fuss demeanour and on-field exploits will likely endear him to any supporter base, no less recruiters holding picks within the second round.

STRENGTHS:

  • Clean hands
  • Evasiveness
  • Power
  • Pressure
  • Speed
  • Toughness

Over to PMBangers for the Richmond pick.
