Based on last 10 years. Bottom 4 team regularly jumps into the 8, even more so top 10. Bottom 8 side will jump into the top 4.

You may not believe this, but Carlton only have 4 legitimate home ground and crowd advantage games for the year, and astonishingly, their first is not until their FIFTEENTH GAME!

Port have also been given an amazing leg-up having been drawn to play each of last years bottom 4 teams, in their first 4 games. Which ought to enable them to get off to a flier and gain some real momentum and confidence.
