Whoever we pick in the mid season draft I hope durability is a key selection criteria.

The fact we delisted Martin, Marchbank and Cuningham in one off season suggests the club uses that criteria already

I'd say that just means taking someone with a six month view as injury coverage makes sense. I'm thinking Krueger but there'd be others, eg even McMahon.
You still banging on about Kreuger. Big lump slow of mind and body who would make Matty Watson’s turning circle look good. Sorry, but have held tongue long enough.
Promise not to mention again until the VFL game tmrw with he and McCartin involved.

Reckon Haynes might just earn another year - but he must earn it.
If Binns can't get regular games this year, they might as well move him on too.
Billy Wilson - does he really have the right stuff (other than leg speed)? And only (soon to be) 20.
(I don't know - haven't seen much of him, but has never stood out consistently in the games I've watched).

Think we'd want to be very sure that said player would a) get games, and b) make some kind of difference to our season prospects.
Assume it takes a month to get the player integrated and up to speed on our structure, positioning, set plays etc. Leaves maybe 8 games at the back end of the year for them to play. How many of those games are we missing a McKay, Curnow or Weitering? And with Pitto coming back, Young looking decent - is the absence of one going to get Kreuger a game? And if we're down two and playing Young AND Kreuger...we're in big strife anyway.
I reckon we're best to pencil in Lemmey and O'Keeffe for some late season cameos to give them a taste and see what they can do when asked to step up. We get more value out of insight into their readiness than we do out of paying $50k for an ordinary state leaguer to plug a gap for two weeks and make no discernible difference to our season before getting delisted by default.
