We have to let TDK go. We need the pick and money to bring in needed players
I would also trade Walsh. Big call but he isn’t a game changer for us and if we can get a first round pick and more plus some more SC we do it
Some runners and class with good skills and some more youth is what we need
Another pre season into Carroll Lord Campo twins Wilson HOF HOK Moir Lemmey Young Cowan and with Smith it can change quickly. I still strongly believe we have the talent IF we can get the best out of it
However, this must be added to better coaching and development

Idk I feel Walsh is the last midfielder we can afford to lose.
Hes had an average season - as has the entire squad.
But once the gameplan changes and we move into playing modern football his run, carry and spread will be much more valuable.

Depends on coach and what’s happening
Questions on endurance but gets the job done
Injury prone. Bad back and there is a sameness about our midfield
With Cerra Cripps Hewett I would rather develop Lord Ben Campo Smith Wilson or even Moir

Cripps is just a comfortable footballer now. Can't blame him really. Has carried this side for a long time. Unfortunately as a leader questions remain

Personally, if it came down to choosing between the two, I’d be more inclined to shop Charlie over McKay. While he's obviously a gifted goal-scorer, his lack of effort outside of hitting the scoreboard is pretty concerning — especially considering he’s our vice-captain and a supposed leader in the forward line. The pressure just isn’t there, and that’s hard to ignore.
As for Walsh, it’s a tough one. I absolutely wouldn’t want to see him traded, but I do wonder if his body is starting to let him down. If that’s the case, there might be a conversation to be had about whether we capitalise on his value while it’s still relatively high.

I agree with all this except I think Cerra has probably played his way back into being someone we can build around. If we are to remain competitive for an extended period of time then the majority of the core group has to be in their 20s.
Letting Cripps go will be hard - he has been a champion and will forever be - but it’s the right thing to do IMO. We won’t get much in a direct trade for him but we will clear out salary cap space to allow us to pick up 2 players who can be best 22 quality.

Would gladly see the back of Acres, Saad, Docherty etc this year. They just look miles off it unfortunately. When Williams and McGovern's contracts expire next year send all that cash towards getting Bailey/a genuine gun small half forward in as a RFA to go along with Cody..
Hit 2027 with a team something like this. All the senior group bar Weiters and Charlie gone at that stage.

Liam McMahon kicked anther 5 goals today. Yet we decided Frank Evans was a better selection. What an absolute joke. List manager needs to be sacked asap. It's like intentionally picking up the worst player available. Beyond comprehension.
