On the fence, yeah depends on what his draft pick value is worth.
This draft is ok up to 30?
Again, use him as a player swap for a real need.
With Macrae there, don't really need both of them.
He's on decent money too, so releases some of the cap?
He's also reasonably banged up unlike Macrae.
I'd rather keep him for finals. I doubt we would get anything of real value in a trade.

People should actually listen to the audio. As non committal as anything. Even says “a lot of water to go under the bridge” with regards to getting a deal done for Nas.

Richardson said absolutely nothing.

Zero. Zilch. Nada.

And, if you listen to it carefully, when he was asked whether PA could get any deal done with St Kilda for NWM, there a long pause.

Very long pause.

I don’t think they have any idea on how they get it done while keeping Zac Butters.

I don't see it. The prisoner's dilemma relies on symmetry and we don't have that. Our BATNA is worse than theirs. If he goes to the PSD he almost certainly still gets to Port, it's just that we get zero compensation.

Yes, Nas and Williams wouldn't want to take that chance, but it's unlikely West Coast or North or whoever are going to take him just for him to be unhappy for a year, disrupt the rest of the playing group, and ask for a trade in 12 months. They get nothing out of that.

Our negotiating position is poor, and our only hope is public outrage and get the AFL involved somehow.
It’s symmetrical payoffs only when both parties cooperate. Once they start playing chicken the game becomes asymmetrical and Nas gains significant leverage because we face a catastrophic loss (losing him for nothing) while Nas faces manageable uncertainty (draft risk but still possible SA outcome).

After that Sarah Jones interview the other day I'm more convinced than ever Nas if off to S.A.
The manager working it out with the club etc.
If staying, not a lot to work out at this stage so would have already been done.
A tricky trade still being worked out makes a lot more sense.

Plugger left and as an official Legend of the AFL he's a bigger name than Nas will ever be.
A short few years later we were in a Grand Final.

The sun will still come up next season.
I'll continue to get excited about some new kid who will amount to not much. Hello Daniel Healy, Caydn Beetham, Spencer White, Jack Bytel and Nick Coffield.

They can't do it. No first this year, between the Lukosius and Horne-Francis trades they've traded so many first rounders that the AFL almost certainly won't let them down 26 & 27 first rounders (nor would we be interested anyway), there's not many players they can and would part with that would get relevant first rounders. SOS would be absolutely within his rights to drag them hell and go full Dodo on them.

Then there's the brutal truth that their list is even more meh middle-of-the-road than ours, Nas goes to Port, he's declaring to the football world his interest is playing with mates, nothing more.

Thank you. There seems to not be a lot on him on the internet. What there is indicates he the son of a Gaelic Champion, and he is a star, athletically gifted. Though I think is only 1.83m and is on the slight side.
Yes about all I know other than he has been over and trained .

Why? It's either Saints or home to SA.
The Adelaide teams are on the nose.
Sydney have it their bones. (Their bones are fed by AFL academy steroids, and other dodgy things)
Shameless.
Under the radar.
They are like the St Kilda that went Frankenstein after South moved to Sydney.
They recruit established champs for a living.
Especially under the nose of the media and everyone else.

If he had signed with us there would be no reason for the Port CEO to be discussing it. It looks as if he has asked to be traded but Port are working out if they can facilitate it? Sounds like Butters is in play for a trade also, whether he would be prepared to come to us tiem will tell?
I strongly disagree with this.

If Port knew Nasiah was coming to them, they would leak it to someone in the media. Their team just got belted by 100 points, they've lost their last three games, have severely underperformed in 2025, won't make finals and the fanbase is absolutely filthy with how poorly the club has handled the Hinkley/Carr handover. You wanna sell hope to a fanbase feeling disillusioned? Leak to the media that the hottest player in the league right now wants to come to your club. Or say something a little bit more decisive than what the Port CEO said on SEN.

Instead, the media know nothing. This tells us one of two things. Either Nasiah legitimately still hasn't made a decision or any and all dealings are still only with St Kilda. It's common sense that the more parties involved, the more likely it is that information will leak out.

Now all this could change quickly - and maybe he's just waiting until the end of season - but the fact we're not even hearing about Nas meeting with Port or the Crows is incredibly encouraging considering the intense media scrutiny on this situation. The only reports we're getting is Ben Williams meeting with St Kilda and St Kilda putting offers to Nas. That and "Nas went to a yoghurt shop with his two best mates while in Adelaide".

Trust me, IF Port knew Nas was coming to them, WE'D know Nas was leaving.

Despite the tenuous links to our club I notice he’s followed on IG by Nas.

Clearly Nas loves everything about the SAINTS

HE’S OBVIOUSLY STAYING 😇

I think Port fans were saying Williams and the club were pretty quiet with JHF until it just happened which of course was at the end of the year.

Anyone remember how that went with JHF? Obviously a bit different with JHF sooking it up but both situations involving Port/Williams
Was thinking that
This playbook looks eerily similar to that
