Does anyone else recall us being one of the only clubs not to factor in a salary increase in line with our cap on our existing contracts? There is something about it in the depths of my flailing memory, maybe it was Essendon being the other club.

Im sure we came out at the time saying we have extra to pay free agents because of this.

If true, surely that's another reason for players to be a bit disgruntled with our list management strategy of overpaying guys from other clubs.

Pulling the deals now will not influence whether Nas goes or stays. So we just end up even worse off in 2026.

Pulling deals now also means that you can forget ever signing any other player from another club in future years too, as no one would trust us.

I think too many St Kilda supporters are comfortable to not not do what is required to improve.
Remember too that a lot of media just feed on each other's stories.
The Wilkie articles are just a beat up as he is contracted for two more years. Don't buy into their narrative.

At some stage we’ve got to stop blaming others and get the work done. The reality is it’s the 2nd last round of the home and away year and Nas (in addition to others) is unsigned. The onus is on the club and the list management team to trouble shoot around the issue and get it done.

I love how we all judge him without knowing what the issue is! It would be pathetic to judge someone whom we don't know or understand the issues.
