Imagine for a second.

We keep Nas, Wilkie and Windy
Bring in TDK Aleer and Reid
Trade out Steele and Marshall.

That would be HUGE!

So we'd have the three highest paid players in the competition, a crippled King on a mil a year and a VFL defender on 700+. Leaving an average of less than 300k for the rest of the list....

I’m untamed mate. Anything resembling authority will have me kicking & screaming and ready to throw your fat ass over, so much so that you will more resemble a turtle on its back. Not a champion jockey
You keep telling yourself that LOL

I agree with you re: the contract, but I am genuinely curious about how a delayed AFL debut (23 in Wilkie's case) affects longevity. I know there's a point where the body just slows down but it would not surprise me at all if he plays very high level football until his mid-30s (look at Zorko) and almost has the longevity of a Fletcher or Harvey.
Yeah it's a good point, you know he's pretty slow but obviously doesn't rely on speed as really any part of his game. For a lot of players that loss of speed can be a first sign of the beginning of the end. Barring major injury, I can definitely see him playing to a high level well into his thirties.

The club had a genuine opportunity to right all the wrongs after the Melbourne win.

Marshall saying his best moment in football, NAS euphoria about becoming the hottest AFL footballer on the planet etc etc.

Best we could do was re-sign Hall.
Yeah, we could have announced that we are moving the club to Adelaide so that Nas can be close to family. ....... why is it "obviously" the club's fault/wrong doing?
