Feels very of the moment to link Windy to GWS.

Smacks of the Callaghan and Rowell stuff but in reverse to me.

Callaghan, Green, Bedford, Coniglio, Kelly… windys good but is he a walk up with that midfield?
Bedford is averaging 10 touches a game and recently been shunted out of his tagging role, hasnt played midfield for 5-6 rounds. Kelly and Cogs are injured a lot and aging. Kelly has mainly been a winger in the last year. Only Tom Green and Callaghan are getting the CBAs. Windy cakewalks into that midfield. This is a huge worry 1754985884536.png

Nahh this is the case of an out of contract player having overhyped value... he can't get in our midfield.

When he's had impact, he's done it on a wing or at half back like the weekend.

If we did get Reid hypothetically, where would that leave Windy.

He can't get into our midfield because we have slow plodding campaigners like Macrae, Steele, and Zak Jones who can't play anywhere else. Not to mention younger clones of them like Garcia and Box who have to play there because we're developing them for that role.

Windys versatility is the point here, not our "elite midfield"

Windy simply hasn't done the business when he's gone centre bounce, but he's progressing well outside of there.

Boxshall and Garcia are centre bounce mids.. and Garcia isn't a plodder

didnt say garcia was a plodder, said macrae and steele were. they're younger clones of them. We both know macrae and steele were elite when younger so when i say younger clones, i obvs mean it as a good thing. not sure how youve intepreted that

Our vocal opposition to AFL academy and F/S picks along with our targeting of high profile recruits, thereby being used by player managers to increase the value of their client's contracts, means that I wouldn't be surprised if we aren't liked very much by a lot of clubs. While I don't disagree that they both were in the best interests of the club, we've also painted a target on our backs. I think a lot of clubs would secretly enjoy exacting some revenge.

SOS has a HUGE job ahead of him this next month or two, and unfortunately I'm not totally convinced he's up for it.

Foxfooty.com.au understands the Giants are closing in on a pitch to lure the 22-year-old to western Sydney, as he weighs up a two-year deal currently on the table from the Saints.

Windhager played junior football alongside GWS star on-baller Finn Callaghan, with the pair selected in the 2021 National Draft.

closing in on a pitch

So no pitch has happened yet.

Screams his manager getting the final bit of leverage in contract negotiations.

More and more, it feels like SOS is using us a vehicle to satisfy his own ego and personal grudges against Carlton rather than the wellbeing of this club. Might not be deliberate, but there definitely seems to be a subconscious bias of his own agenda having an impact on his decision making.

LMFAO

Yup can't pay Aleer but happy to throw a million bucks at Winghager who'd play in their 2nd's.

You can't make this shit up.

.... Turns out if your'e afl media you actually can. My bad.

Funny our how list never gets highly rated yet you have clubs circulating around our players.

Among all chaos and rumours, Im looking forward to seeing how the club handles everything.

Weirdly I feel optimistic? We have taken a lot right steps forward off the field.

Well you can - and they do.

Imagine being asked to do a 3 hour show 5 days a week in Adelaide and only being able to talk about stuff that involves either Adelaide or Port.

Of course you have to make shite up and amazingly people believe it.

Agreed but .....

At least make it plausible FMD.

It's all pot luck really, no matter who does the job

Also magnificent timing with Nas and Wilkie and co all on the way out the door

It's better to be hated than to be ignored, Kane Cornes seems to go by that philosophy, he might be hated but he is successful.

I'm seriously beginning to no longer give a flying f*CK.
Wilkie can cry a river.
NAS can get swaddled in adult nappies by his folks whilst bunking with JHF...and having such happy fun times eating fro-yo with Burgoyne.
Windhager, can f*CK off. We can cover him (loved him by the way, but he's been largely an un-composed, hack kick for most of his career, he's been better of late, but not 850 grand better)
Butler...LOL.
Steele...meh! Unless he plays forward for us with the occasional burst in the centre, then whatever.
Marshall...I'd like to keep, but if he wants a farm in Geelong...we're not able to compete.

We've been shit for years. Our leadership has been rudderless since Riewoldt. Crooked Tail wagging a ******ed dog. It's got to stop.
F*cking blow it all up.
Sick of this bollocks.

Tassie looking good....f*CK it...Giants and McDonalds suit team (who are they again?) looking good.

This ^^ LFG, make some tough calls, rattle the cage Saints!!

So when the Club looks to give Wilkie a new contract, most likely some time year to extend, do you not believe that what he will be offered will be substantially more than his old deal?
As AFL Revenue goes up, player contracts go up. Player contracts are always on the increase.

We can’t afford it. It will kill our cap like Jack Billings did. Delist him now.
