Nowhere did I say the dispute itself was SOS fault. Maybe he was treated like crap, I don't know.

It was his decision to not turn up though. What about catching up with the 20 blokes you shared a life changing moment with?

Obviously SOS's feelings a little bit more important than that.

Surely his ego can get over whatever the criticism was by now? Carlton football club is bigger than the ex CEO and a few board members who sacked him 5 years ago.

Life goes on, it's a cut throat industry. Suck it up.
I'm talking a bit more generally, not specifically about what you said or haven't.

I get what you are saying, just don't see the relevance to his Job at St Kilda
maybe SOS catches up with those people who mean something on different occasions.

Life does go on. Why waste it on those whom you deem unworthy?

That was just beautiful.

It was a contract drive-by where Lyon threw Rucci a cold can before discharging the machine gun.

Lyon made Rooch and Kymbo sound like Statler and Waldorf, heckling from the stalls on the Muppets, without any rigour or substance.
Random Port Adelaide nuffy

Thought there was a handful of very specific comments tonight that were very interesting in the scheme of things. 2 that drew my attention.

Ed reporting positive news with Nas.

Eddie - “without going through the phone book, WE DID SPEAK BEFORE THE SHOW”

And next segment

RTB - “Hopefully behind the wall THAT WE PUT UP, there is good negations”

Pains me to say it but our club probably owes Eddie a decent sized thank you. It felt like Ed was there to act as the interviewer and referee letting it all happen on Ross' terms.

Ross would look unprofessional if he came out and said what Ed said about Nas - but if Eds comments/source isn't from Ross himself I'd be shocked.

I'm torn on Windy. His improvement has been huge, can now find the footy consistently, runs great patterns and executes his skills. He isn't an $800k player, but he is a heart and soul type. This is what happens when you offer that kind of coin to Leek. I'd be pretty flat if our equal best NGA player walks.
Nah, he can piss off
Was given the privilege of wearing Danny Frawley's un-retired no.2 jumper & at 22 y.o, he's bitching about being under-paid & under-valued, wtf

Rory Sloane basically stated the reason for all the bullshit that clubs cant really say, its the player managers attempting to pull sway to make as much money as possible.

I get that its their jobs but lately their actions are genuinely hurting clubs ability to nnegotiate fairly and it needs to be reeled in.

I dont believe Windhager has any desire to leave whatsoever but his manager "rightly" is pushing a pay increase thats held up due to it being overs.

Average wage for players with played senior games next season will be in the 550k range. Windy is showing definite above average traits so hes offered 650. Manager wants 850 which is well overs currently. A compromise will be found but it slowly erodes good will when it becomes a constant cycle of managers leaking shit and trying to play clubs off against each other.

Massive drive bys by Lyon there. Was pretty impressively handled.

If another club offers him $850k he'd be crazy to pass it up so he should go with our blessing.

I think he's at best a $650k player at the moment. And if this is the list management team being disciplined with player contracts (TDK aside.....) then all for driving a hard bargain.
If we got an 850k player back from gws hed be a pretty good player i reckon.

As in share trading the market is never wrong. In any transaction there are those that know and those that think they know;
Club looking at best interests of club.
Coach across every aspect of club workings but letting coblers coble.
Player manager looking at best interests of their client
Player wanting to play at best club, best experience MCG premiership success etc and money.
Other clubs looking always to improve list whilst holding on to what they have.

Media to sell advertising.

If I was Windy I would be testing the market...why not, there is no gun to his head other than we would like him to sign our contract not his contract.

Test the water and see what's out there, you don't think the clubs are doing the same, come on.

Same with Naz, he is letting his football do the talking, lets see what offers are forthcoming he does not have to do anything untill he is ready. In reality his contract has almost doubled since the start of the year... so why sign just to lock away job and pay secirity....

Costs a fortune to move player out of a club hence free agency....if we have to pay 1.7m for TDK to consider leaving, same must work the other way.

Conjecture and opinion sells newspaper and ads...nothing we can do other than wait...like the shatemarket saying when in doubt do nothing.

Go Saints you miserable bastards

Mid August and Nas, Windy, Pou not signed.

I find that concerning.

If you all now think what we're paying TDK and Aleer is of no concern to the current playing group, I've got a bridge to sell ya.
Pou is contracted for next year and his player sponsor has made clear on X that his re-signing is happening.

When talking about the NAS ‘problem’ he also mentions Phillipou - indicating he his contract is also not close/could leave.
I reckon you need to give a bit more context than that. He was saying that he likes having the problem of great young talent coming out of contract and how we have to fight to keep them. He was saying how he thought it was great for the club, which it is.

In no way did he suggest Pou was leaving.
