Yeah it sounds as though some so called supporters are willing TDK and Aleer to be failures so they can have some sort of ego win on an anonymous online football forum.
To me that sounds really a bit sad. I have always been sceptical on TDK, but if he comes on board, I am hoping like hell they both are absolute superstars for us.

Was not a fan of Travaglia, preferred Reid but hoping like hell he stars for us.
Why you would be barracking for them to fail so as to brag on a forum is a curious way to behave to say the least.

He’ll be on $1.7 at the start of the contract, not for the life of it.

Salary cap impact likely to be closer to 1.3 for the life of the contract (taking into account front loading from unused cap space).

It was also mentioned (about 1000 pages ago) that he would be getting up to $300k as ‘marketing’ which isn’t included in the cap, so the impact on the cap over seven years would be even less than that.

Hopeful Dodson can play forward, and really no reason to believe he couldn't. He's been hitting the scoreboard at Sandy (not sure how much of that was from a Fwd position opposed to ruck getting up forward though).

He wants to play like Jackson, who is probably the best ruck/fwd in the league and is a twin ruck at Freo. Both Jackson and Dodson have strong basketball backgrounds FWIW.

Obligatory, Ryder and Marshall worked really well as twin rucks (the difference in our W/L with and without them was drastic) and neither was a standout forward, and also if the 5 man bench rule change comes in we could see the game changing also re: how twin rucks are used.

As for Marshall and TDK, it's going to have to be a wait and see, many were dubious of the Ryder pairing. At least Marshall is very solid around the ground. I'd expect the same of TDK, but don't know him as well.

AFL, like most things, goes through paradigm shifts - many things that used to be rare work well in todays game. As fans all we can do is hope that the people at saints HQ have a very solid read on what our list needs are against how to take advantage of the modern game.

He kicked his goals in a variety of ways. Some were contested marks. Some of the ground. Some from kicks out of the rucks. He will be a weapon. I’m guessing much sooner than we expect. Even if he stinks it up against for the first few. His rate of improvement has been drastic.hes not as quick as Jackson but he shows his skills in so many other ways.

Look I do too.

I believe that the Club will want, and need, TDK to be very good for us.

But on Aleer, I doubt the Club is expecting him to be a superstar.

We have lacked another key back for a while, and especially of late with Howard unable to get onto the park.

So if he can just become a solid and reliable key back for us my view is that he will have met expectations. Better than that is a bonus. If he can do this next season, then an immediate huge Bonus is that Wilkie can get back to being Wilkie again.

Apart from freeing up Wilkie, it also means that Taura will stay free to be that intercepting defender. The Viking can keep Flying.
