Saints should play hard ball and not just accept other clubs wanting to rip us off.

IMO, Port or Crows can stump up with serious compensation
OR
Saints should work a deal with WC for their pick 1 this year & R1 2026 pick.
Walk Nas to the PSD for nothing.
Trade WC picks for a reasonable kid.

So much for AFL great equalisation policy, we have a ripper and likely lose him to team finishing top of ladder at seasons end.

This will no doubt annoy the sceptics but I’m beginning to think Joey’s utterances serve as manufactured narrative control. He’s been given the green light to put the horde’s minds at rest, and it’s all by design.

Of course it is. He's just pushing shit the other way.

Collard got six weeks and that was in the VFL. Does the VFL tribunal feel it has to be heavy handed on AFL listed players to be relevant? They gave Tauru four and I do t think the AFL tribunal has given that long for a similar incident.
I feel like the reports with Collard was that he was indiscriminate with the slur, throwing it around at multiple opponents? But the differing in suspensions aids the AFL with their secret formulas, and will probably spit out a number which gives Rankine a chance to play in the GF?

I know its outrageous, but there are weird dots suggesting that 50% of the players who have been reported in the past 2 years have been first nations. Perhaps culturally there could be things that are said or done (to them) on the field that lead to them deciding to highly offend in retaliation?

50% are also from WA, so maybe I'm just looking into it too much and it is just stupid men who should know better.

The Eagles should have a tonne of cap space considering how shit we are.

It could be beneficial for the Saints to clear his salary from the books considering the deals they have out there.

Henry came back from a very bad knee injury and basically had no pre-season. He should have a full pre-season this year and be ready to go for next year. He would need to be crap next year for us to consider trading him, I think.

Do we have any good news this morning .... anything.

Just pay Windy what he wants

If its three strikes, Battle, NWM then Windy... then serious questions need to be asked about the way we deal with player managers.

I don’t think the afl care to be honest.

What did Geelong pay for smith ?. Wasn’t it 17 and 38 for smith and 45. Bailey smith was a high draft pick and had starred for the bulldogs.

I just don’t see why we would get a much better deal. Both young, both out of contract, both going to top teams without high draft picks.

Id have to think Smith's knee injury and off field indiscretions had a pretty big impact on his trade value.

Naz hasn't had any significant injuries and is nowhere near his 2nd/3rd drug strike.

Is this the same bailey Smith who had just done an ACL and had to deal with very serious personal issues including drug use
