Fair to say that it’s clear from the last two years that he also concocts or hyper-dramatises so much content. The problem with these guys is that they opine so much that people lose track of all the garbage and who said what.

his line that Port offered Nas $30m is gonna stick and while it's pretty funny surely it is also completely fanciful. a couple of "up to" qualifiers in there that are doing a lot of heavy lifting. there is no way he could have turned that down if true and nobody would blame him.

gives me hope that the TDK $1.7m * 7 = $12m is the same sort of hyperbole

We have saved 2.745 million over the last 3 years ( 3 x 95% of the cap).
NAZ is guaranteed 2 mill, TDK front ended for a couple but is nowhere near 1.8 mill.over 7 ( KRA's and incentive for hitting triggers, and Aleer is on about 750 over 4 plus triggers).
This is the only info we have, Hill took a haircut in his last contract, other older players like Wood and Howard will take one year contracts just to stay in the show.
Having some issues with Windhager, asking too much. Still awaiting an outcome.
Eventually luke everyone the cap will intervene for us but currently over the next couple of years, we will be fine.

Caro also said that if we weren't front ending contracts this year we'd be paying 85% of the cap, so we've probably got even more space next year.
And some sources on here said TDK would be getting $300k per year as marketing, which is outside the cap.
I think our cap space is just fine.

i'd love for us to retain Windy i think we can build a team around the two of them.

i really rate Pou, i hope we can get him fit and running through the midfield next year. i think he could be the Wood replacement longer term. we've had glimpses but if he can start to build we could have an absolute beauty that will compliment Nas, Windy, Hall, Owens perfectly.

Boxshall is building too. if we can help him run out games better and get more of it. we could be closer to getting a decent midfield. albeit on potential right now.

Agree with all of that. People have bagged the use of Pou up forward, but he is not fit enough for mids and I reckon him and Henry are being used this way for preseason. Get run in the legs and a full preseason. Not concerned about their form at all

100% right on Pou's fitness right now, my fear is given how damn competitive this younger crop is, Pou will continue to do soft tissue after soft tissue pushing himself beyond his limit given his age

I want TDK. As much as I love Roma and want to keep him having a ruckman with good tap skills feeding NAS is a prospect to drool over.

Not sold on Aleer from what I've seen of him. Be happy for that money to be spent elsewhere. Definitely rather a mid if someone half decent was available. Happy to accept that the brains trust know what they are doing on Aleer but I personally don't care if that deal falls through.

We have no idea what Port would have given us in a trade,but if ths Tom Morris report on $30 million @ $2.5 a season is correct the AFL needs to address this situation immediately for future deals and teams to be renumunerated fairly to the deal offered.
As mentioned we have no idea what we would have been offered,but i bet it would've have been bordering on absolute disrespect for an opposition club
