I love disagreeing with the 4-5 people on twitter that post about the saints like they’ve got inside scoops.

I can post a bullsh*t rumour on here and one of them is a lock to report it as fact from one of their “sources” 😂
“Oh I can’t say much but I spoke to someone at the club last week that we might see some movement during the trade period”. That’s why I like Tony, bloke says what he can and that’s it. Others want our tongues permanently brown from licking their stink stars because they have this look at me bs attitude thinking they have info the rest of us can’t live without.

Yeah it’s one of the weirdest/most desperate things.

Put up a front like they are in the know/have connections instead of just being like “damn, I really hope we sign Nas”

Sad thing is that it’s so easy to convince people that you know stuff lol

Sorry, if anyone else has brought up the same scenario.

I was thinking if Nas wants to go home, what do we hope his value would look like?

I know it would be a prick of a thing to, but if the 2 Adelaide clubs won’t or can't meet our asking price what about putting him in the trade period.

We can beat any other club wage wise, and we have picks below Adelaide and Port, its the other clubs below us that would be a problem.

I believe that the trade period threat is not feasible, but there are lot of other stuff said here that can be quite strange as well.😅🤣😂😇, including me.

Just read over the last couple of pages sorta expecting an update on the list / NAS......should have not expected it.

Damn you blokes have to much time on your hands. Chill - show some love to each other we support the Saint ffs

I'm sure SOS would threaten the draft if it came to it. But we need Port to win 1 more game to guarantee we finish below so we can threaten the preseason draft threat instead of just the national draft.

I think the situation we find ourselves in is exactly why the afl needs to introduce the franchise tag.

If we had that it brings port to the table with their best offer, otherwise we can tag him twice. Nas gets paid we keep our player which is fair enough. There’s more to it than that but it seems to work fairly well and gives something to everyone.

The player gets compensation that isn’t determined by the club. The club gets the deal they want or they hold onto the player. Opposition clubs if they want the player then make an offer they can’t refuse.

Nothings perfect but the afl seems to have taken parts of the nfl system but left others out creating big holes. Loosing Nas for whatever port chuck us is just crazy imo.

FWIW, I’m watching our NGA lads, Quentin Hoffman and Kye Fincher at the moment…

Hoffman I haven’t spotted a lot, but Fincher is more or less Zak Jones with hair.

Serious wheels, gets the ball, but isn’t careful enough with his disposal and tries to bite off more than he should try to chew. Puts the head down, bunches the shoulders, takes off and tries to burn off or out-muscle blokes when he should be a bit more considered.

Worth a list spot, but I wouldn’t be expecting heaps, at least not initially.
But remember - if we draft him it's worse than Brisbane and Gold Coast getting multiple free top 10 picks every year.

You haven’t read many of the past thousand posts have you? 🤣

The club is aware/of the belief he wants to stay. Infact their belief is that there isn’t even ACTIVE negotiations happening with either SA clubs. By which I mean Williams going back and forth putting each offer on the table and putting them against each other. They are aware they are making offers and so they should.

And still no club has approached us to discuss what a trade would need to look like.

That is why there is zero pressure being applied to the player.

Everything is zeroed in on Williams. Hence yesterday’s leak back to Morris.

Which, fair play to the club for outing this Tex Wanganeen story. Whether you agree with the actual action of potentially recruiting a delisted afl player to retain their cousin or not. They have put the ball publicly back in the agents/players court.

Go home to family vs give your cousin another crack the big time

SA friends vs Vic friends

They have matched the key points here.

This semi fits given we are hearing absolutely nothing from either Port or Adelaide. I don't want to get my hopes up but i'm ready to get hurt again!
