He's also a contracted 29 year old that has averaged one goal a game in the second half of his career.

West Coast have nothing to gain by handing him over for nothing unfortunately.

Would hate to lose Windy, Marshall or Steele but I’ve come to the realisation I’ll accept whatever it takes to get the St Kilda football club up the ladder.

I support the club not individual players as hard as it would be to lose fan favourites listed above.

Exciting times ahead.

He’s pretty versatile and I think a tight member of the group from drafting which is important imo.

Not sure holding on to a player that says he wants out is great for the culture. We may make an offer below what they want and then walk if they’re not reasonable.

Most likely outcome would be Pies which is why he hasn’t nominated them yet.

Even just in the tagging role he is extremely valuable. Stops key opposition players.

Agree with this. I’d temper expectations on here of any real early season strides next year too. If he plays AFL before round 4 I think that’s a huge win.
It can’t be understated the de-conditioning that 3 bouts of surgery can have.

The handling of max is my major gripe with the club this year

Clubs may say one thing publicly, but in reality, he’s a 28yo former premiership player, who has an offer on the table that they wouldn’t even consider giving him. History suggests they will wish him well, he will come across and the Saints won’t pay overs.

Still looking forward to seeing who this years pencil case will be though. Ready and waiting.
