Butters will request a trade to Hawks. The Hawks have Blues first plus their own. 2 firsts this year plus next years first for Butters.

Port offload those picks to us. Could see it happening.

Also think Crows are still very much in the mix. Port look cooked.
Im going to hate that a club like Hawthorn could go, oh, we need a defender - let's get Battle and Barrass. Following year, we need a mid, let's get Butters. What's next, Thilthorpe in 2027?

Big clubs gonna stay big, nepo clubs still on the tit and we are overpaying for TDK and losing our best player for 2 decades.

I'm going all chicken little now...

Like fishing in a trout farm.

Painful supporter group as well. My brother is a Hawks supporter and he is insufferable.

If NAZ leaves it is the clubs fault, I don't care what spin anyone puts on it. You lose the best player you have had for 20 years after all the talk about a changed environment, great coaching, a stable admin etc, it will all sound like BS.
Blame the manager, the go home palava, the fact will be the club is too weak to retain him.
And there will be consequences.
BS

As of yesterday it wasn’t done.

But there is a new offer that went in sometime earlier in the week or possibly last weekend.

His parents being over can only be a good thing. They definitely wouldn’t be coming to waive goodbye to the fans. They want him home.

The club is aware/of the belief he wants to stay. Infact their belief is that there isn’t even ACTIVE negotiations happening with either SA clubs. By which I mean Williams going back and forth putting each offer on the table and putting them against each other. They are aware they are making offers and so they should.

And still no club has approached us to discuss what a trade would need to look like.

That is why there is zero pressure being applied to the player.

Everything is zeroed in on Williams. Hence yesterday’s leak back to Morris.

Which, fair play to the club for outing this Tex Wanganeen story. Whether you agree with the actual action of potentially recruiting a delisted afl player to retain their cousin or not. They have put the ball publicly back in the agents/players court.

Go home to family vs give your cousin another crack the big time

SA friends vs Vic friends

They have matched the key points here.

Last 48 hours, confidence quietly growing at the club.

Did you watch his presser or just listen to it? Because Ross spent most of the Nas answer smiling. I didn't get negativity from his answer at all. It's the reality of the situation.

The only thing that makes me think Nas could be leaving is that it's Round 21 and it still isn't done. That's the only thing giving me pause. Because everything else seems to point in our favour.

The language Nas is using in interviews (about the club, about the boys, about his contract) is promising. We also have what his manager said a few weeks ago. And the biggest indicator - the fact the media don't know what is happening.

If Port or Adelaide were preparing for a trade or had even met with Nasiah, the media would know. The fact they know NOTHING suggests it's all happening within St Kilda at this point. It's when you add in second and third parties that things leak. But whatever is happening with Nas - at least right now - is happening at St Kilda.
What was the difference with Battle at the same time last year?

Stav, for the love of God, tell them to convert their confidence into a ****ing signature. We haven't got that many members that we can afford to be killing some off with heart attacks.
If only I had any actual say.

I don’t know the actual figures. But Morris source is either the club or someone close to. The vibes I’ve got is that this is closer to TDK money. Not $2m

People won’t like my opinion but if we are confident we have left no stone unturned in our offer to Nas and he still decides to go home then good riddance.

No one player is bigger than the club.

Saints have a history of champion players who we think are our saviours instead of champion teams.

I’d love for him to stay but I’m not crying about someone that leaves and doesn’t want to be a saint.
Hello Butters, Berry and Whitlock

Club would have to believe that the are still in the race for Nas, as otherwise we would not still be going full throttle developing him as a mid.

In today's game Hall was barely used as at the Centre Ball Ups. Being just re-signed, if they thought Nas was going (and they may not still know either way), you would imagine it would be full steam ahead playing Hall there instead of Nas.

Battle on our hands was in relation to keeping Nas imo. Ross said it unprompted which says a lot....
Clearly battle on hands to keep him
Didn’t give me a heap of confidence
Ross is the type that if we can’t keep him he’ll wish him the best and move on it’s his mantra “get on with it…do the work” sorta thing
It was unprompted as well
Praying I’ve read that wrong but geez it’s late in the day for this to still be dragging on
Still …kinda odd to be giving him all this midfield time if he were leaving….his value isn’t gonna increase much more so it’s not that ….

They didn't ban the guy who gaslighted people into attending an open training session this week - I think you're good.

I will say i was planning to head down to Moorabbin for training regardless as I've never been! Also got my newspaper signed so was worth it!
