The club would have every right to be pissed off if Benny was wasting their time negotiating a contract they had no intention of signing.

That he doesn’t care about being in a legendary St Kilda team that breaks the drought, he doesnt care about Windy or Mitch or the friends he’s made here, or giving Tex another crack and potentially he doesn’t even care about playing just in SA but only wants to flop around in a floundering Port team with his mates collecting big cash in his safe space in SA

I don’t believe that’s the case but the longer it drags on the more it feels believable
