So when there’s been zero leaks and the media knows absolutely nothing… key figures at the club are going to leak information to a fan podcast and general supporters at a function?

How about we try and win some games instead of wanting to be the leading first nations team or whatever you want to call it , that means bugger all and as much as it gets you all wet I'm not sure Nas is all that concerned about it

St Kilda did terrible things to you, didn't it? Let me guess, you've been following the club 40 plus years?

To suggest no other club would take him in the PSD is absolute nonsense. Any club with a pick before port would take NAS. Worst case, he signs doesn’t like it and tries to engineer a trade in 12 months time. Then the club gets 3 first rounders. Alternately he is stuck there on his contract terms. Every club in the comp would take that chance, if they had the cap available (which the bottom clubs do) The PSD is quite simply not going to happen.

They are DEEPLY altruistic. Gain nothing from it.

By the way have you signed up for 2026 yet? Completely unrelated.

If NAS does intend to stay and they are in fact just arguing about cash. If NAS cares about St Kilda and wants it to be successful, surely at some point he realises the more cash his salary eats up, the less ability the club has to improve the list and for his supposed good mates to get paid.
At the face of it, this seems fair.

But when you think about it, the Saints have the most salary cap space of all-time, right?

The Saints have been throwing money at big fishes to land one - and apparently could sign Nas, TDK and Rowell? (not sure how true this is but it has been said by a few).

And the salary cap is set to rise sharply in the coming years.

It's not like Nas is trying to squeeze St Kilda's last dollar out to himself.

If Nas is trying to get extra cash, it's a product of our situation and actions.

Staying for less and having the chance to win a flag is different from staying for less and maybe the team you are playing for might have a crack in the future - that's where we are at.

That’s why it’s fair to think he’s gone. I don’t think Nas will be that money hungry especially at his age.. This is really about his family/him wanting to be back at Adelaide. We knew the risk when we drafted him and we’ll be adequately compensated for developing him to the player he is now.

My boy stavros is the type of guy to have $50 on Nas leaving and $50 on Nas staying.

Whichever way it goes he will burn the losing ticket and only show off the winning on on IG

Oh, friend, grab a seat and let me tell you—I’m out here dealing with absolute characters like phantom13 , who’s proper annoying and drains it. And don’t even get me started on the icon, That bald gorgeous George a former mod (I might have an issue with authority? 🤔)
You? you’re not even a tiny blip on my radar.

Another interesting note. Caroline Wilson reported ages ago that when saints made their pitch to NAS, he wanted to know which players could be coming to the club.

If that was true, maybe less by the day with his ever increasing pay cheque 🤣
‘So yeah we can afford your cousin as a train on NAS but he’s gonna have to bring his own boots’

How do we know the huge money bandied around like lollies are true and not just leaked by other agents trying to get their clients top money. Yes, we would have been interested, but I don’t believe the huge sum promised is on the mark.. e.g. $2M a year for Matt Rowell.

At least youve got a hobby mate.
Beats reading about Jack Whitlock and the formula used to make him a FRP
That we can agree on

Sorry mate, but this assumption is as vague and as unsubstantiated as a lot of the stuff on here.

Nas could do his knee next year and eventually end up like Brad Crouch.

We know players can need to be medically retired if they suffer concussions as well.

If I was Nas, I would be trying to get as big a pay day as possible, without obviously crippling the club.

You never know what can happen in the future.

I'm also not sure we will be adequately compensated if he chooses to leave. Which is a scary thought.

That's true. What you are saying in this post is very much possible. I stated I wasn't sure how reliable that information was on Rowell.

But I don't agree with most of your original post, aside from family being the likely pull and us knowing the risks of drafting a non-Victorian.

Literally proved how easy it is to convince people on here that you know something by posting 4 ambiguous posts
Please forgive me, I struggle to comprehend the basement dwelling attention seeker, dribbling themselves while decrying attention seeking and advising others to get some sun.

I'll speak in a parlance that you seem familiar with ... just a suggestion, though might do you some good.

Go outside and touch grass.

He entered the ND. Refused any communication with any other club.

The PSD holds no fears for a club like WC st the bottom and dare I say even if he went into the ND. Someone picks him up before Port and takes him.

If young players like Nas, who are not free agents, can just go anywhere they want , what's the limit? You might as well just do away with the draft entirely and just sign up promising young players. Of course that will turn it into a game of have and have-nots which was always the issue.

The PSD threat would be a real ugly one for port too.

Imagine how that would make someone like NAS feel “yeh we want you but like, not THAT much”.

I’d be wanting the crows after my time at west coast was done.

Another Southampton and St Kilda fan? Never thought I would see the day :tearsofjoy: up the saints x2!
