Shout out to the Sea eagles!
i will move to an inferior competition of the best sport, not an inferior sport, cant understand these people like carey switching to nrl(probably not really, just having a hissy fit),its been a choice for over 100 years,if it was any good it would have been chosen before their afl team sucked, but at least you mentioned an nrl team with history, not a processed cheese factory like the melbourne storm, that would be vomit worthy on the greatest scale

Hoping he stays but if not, he'll be taken by us with our first pick in either the preseason draft or the national draft, hopefully you get a good deal for him as a result, very much doubt he wants to go to Perth.
Bigfooty Pessimist.

Yep your username checks out.
You are welcome to keep posting in this thread.

🤣

I’m certain he’s staying. This Crows report in my option is absurd, why would anyone with a back bone go to a team that said “no we don’t think you’re a good enough to play for us, we think our pick 6 should go to someone else” Then he develops into a superstar and then say “we want you now”. If he ever leaves it’ll be Port.

- Adelaide is confident it can secure brilliant St Kilda star Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera by offering a flag window rather than the biggest offer, with the Crows’ offer understood to be below deals offered by the Saints and Port Adelaide.

- He has not told his teammates he is leaving and St Kilda is still holding out hope that he might stay given they have continued to negotiate with his manager Ben Williams in recent weeks.

- Both clubs are confident they could get a deal done using current and future draft picks but Adelaide’s first-round pick will end up in the mid-20s and the Power do not have a 2025 first-rounder.
Both clubs have never met SOS if they genuinely think their current draft hands will get them a top 5 player in the comp.

Also, how f*cked is the competition if the minor premiers can poach a 22 year old top 5 player while offering him the lowest deal with nothing of value to trade.

then we need to be very real about letting him go through to WCE

this is bigger than just NAS now. we are getting picked off by a bunch of clubs who think they can just walk players to their club.

the battle outcome was ridiculous. now its happening with NAS and Windy. Plus talk of Marshall/Steele.

a players biggest fear is they wont get the trade to the club they desire and it falls through. we need to stop playing nice here. we have no duty to NAS if he chooses to leave to trade him to the club he desires.

i think we'd be better off taking nothing and sending the message not only to the players but also AFL HQ, than taking a pittance and rolling over again.

how good is it gonna look for the AFL where a club that is rebuilding, thats been told to build through the draft, just lost its best young talent to a club in the top 4.
Been arguing this for months. It will be a disaster for us and the AFL. Your last sentence is spot on. But you know we are whingers for bringing up FS and NGA, and victim mentality about losing NAZ.

Why should we give our hard earned to an organisation who has effectively consigned us to a feeder club with prospect and no hope?

I have no doubt sos will be almost impossible to deal with. He will make them pay up
Let’s hope he lives up to his so-called reputation of being one of the hardest to deal with on this one.

I'd be shocked if Ross doesnt word up his old mate McQualter to make it very publicly known West Coast will take him if he's there.

Why would he want to go to a team like port they’re absolutely ****ed lmao

It needs to happen. I hope it’s not us that does it, but the PSD option needs to blow up in faces so that clubs understand trades must be made - and players understand that they can’t always pick and choose where they play

Let’s hope he loves up to his so-called reputation of being one of the hardest to deal with on this one.
This is the man who wouldnt go to his son's 100th jumper presentation because of his bitterness towards Carlton.

No chance is he letting the AFL world see him hand over a superstar for nothing but the biggest haul in trade history.

So why are you quoting future firsts? It was a future second. We pick James van es. Didn’t play a games.
Because you are suggesting we ballsed it up. The only thing we could have offered more was a first or future first. Or compromised the position of those picks.

Moral of the story is there has been plenty of balls up from the club and Xerri is not one of them.

I do feel the afl are rather invested in this trade.

They know that first round picks mean nothing since academies are now over powered, they know that a key player of a small team leaving to a strong side in a trade that is unders, after losing a player to a big vic club in free agency.

They also know that the impact financlly of NWM leaving will have on our club and that their ability to sell hope is done.

It is the AFL best intrest to keep NWM at St Kikda, they need to dip into their northern pissant marketing club fund to make it happen.

No they asked for a future second, we offer a future third.

Supposedly we've been in his ear for a few years now which is why we reportedly offer him as much $1.3M 7 years before his breakout and haven't move from that offer despite Port Power offering him even more money and the Saints matching their offer.

In regards to Fincher… do we have to get him beyond pick 20 or did they change that rule again? And is he expected to drift past pick 20? I’m not much of an U18 follower.

oh ok when i played for them we were the redlegs, melbourne jumpers,i know they changed to eagles jumpers years later,i guess when they left the bass valley to go to the new league there was another mob in dees outfits, but never knew they changed the nickname as well

We can match a bid anywhere.

Was seen as a late 2nd or later. Wasn't invited to the national combine so not seen as a top prospect

What did Carlton get for Squibbs the following year, lol 🙄

Squibbed was the most over rated player of the day and you got royally screwed, lol
Ended up as pick 10 and a 3rd rounder given the future picks swap relative to our position on the ladder. Still too much for a player who was good for only half a season, our previous CEO told Reid to order pizza and get the deal done.
