2025 List Management Discussion - Part 3

Now that our season is over, and news is starting to break - it's time for a fresh thread.

This thread is to discuss all things list management - trades, draft, free agency, delistings and more.
As we are now officially in our off-season, we'll be wanting to keep this thread more strictly on-topic than the previous iterations.
Be respectful. You are allowed to disagree with someone - but play the ball, not the man. Repeat offenders will have their posting rights revoked.

2025 KEY DATES
Free Agency Period: Friday, October 3rd - Friday, October 10th
Trade Period: Monday, October 6th - Wednesday, October 15th
AFL Draft: Wednesday, November 19th - Thursday, November 20th

Just read that the offer is approximately 850k, surely that's a G up?

I thought they said $4m over 5 years, presumably front-loaded so I doubt it's too silly by the end

I think that it’s “up to” from memory. So low guarantee which might screw their compensation as that is what it will be based upon.

Said all year I wanted us to get him. Didn't think it would happen when all the talk was pies and dogs. Really good get by the club. Couldn't care less that his Dad is our list manager.... reckon he improves us and that's all that matters.

I reckon this is a little overstated.

He has a laconic look, so did Nicky Dal.

He also had to play as a number 1 forward at times this year as a 20 year old playing their first 10 games or whatever.

Play him as a third/fourth tall/back up ruck and hes playing against guys who dont have 10 pre seasons and talent on him i think its a very different look.

He played forward as well and I’ve watched plenty of him at vfl level.

He’s getting better and yes he’s a young tall not a mid but I’d hate to see that talent go to waste. If we could get Keeler and Collard up and running in our best 22 imo we’d be starting to look like a top 4 team.

Minimum finals with who they are aiming for.
Before trades i would have been happy with fighting for that last finals spot.
If we get all that we are aiming for then 8th imo is bare minimum for the team.

Genuinely pumped so many players want to play in the RWB - I just need a full season of Max King

. I literally forget he existed thats how long it feels we've had to play without him. Big spearhead forward and we look SO much better.

I dont know, im not crowing about JSOS.

If JSOS and Aleer are coming were paying $1.3-$1.4m to cover Battle and get Tauru, all this really does to me is make it more important Tauru properly becomes a star.

I also hate the narrative elements here (JSOS running back to Daddy, SOS' obsession with the blues).

It is what it is and i hope it makes us better on field but im not quite as chuffed as many on here seem.

I don't care who plays for us if it makes us better

There is still no true FB in that team. Camma or Howard has to play.

Thats the concern, you add one of them in and were real ****ing tall and have no lockdown small (Stocker seems to be to preferred but hes so slow).

Once Nas signed, the equation changed and the clock started ticking.

We cannot be patient and wait purely for our young guys to come on, we have to show we can win and we have two years to do it.
