2025 List Management Discussion - Part 3

Now that our season is over, and news is starting to break - it's time for a fresh thread.

This thread is to discuss all things list management - trades, draft, free agency, delistings and more.
As we are now officially in our off-season, we'll be wanting to keep this thread more strictly on-topic than the previous iterations.
Be respectful. You are allowed to disagree with someone - but play the ball, not the man. Repeat offenders will have their posting rights revoked.

Thanks to Lore once again for this incredibly useful spreadsheet.

I've only ever been to one other side's board and that was enough. Read a Port supporter's reenactment of a scene from Mad Max eating a tin of dog food sitting on a mine hillock outside Broken Hill watching the sunset. They made you campaigners seem normal.
Is on the Trade and Draft board but is worse because it is open to all supporters. Greatest concentration of football ignorance on earth.

2018 Jade Gresham is exactly what our forwardline is missing! People forget his first 70 odd games were bloody good

Post achillies Gresham been stealing a living from 2 clubs. Would not even take him for our VFL side

Reminds me of this

Which is why I’m staggered at the possible deals out there for Draper.

Why? Played 18 games out of a possible 88. No due diligence in his recruitment. A total waste of a list spot. Richo et al take a bow. A total flop. And this has been done to death so not gonna go on about it.
Won us a final in 2020. Best on ground in that game, worth every cent.

The trade clearly didn't work out, but it had merit. We lacked an experienced leader. We got one, just a shame we could barely get him on the field.

Can't see Steele getting us more than a third rounder. Late Second at best. I think Ryan would cost similar.

Flanders for our future first plus a third rounder back
Aleer for future second
Ryan for third rounder
McKenzie for this year's first plus second rounder back

Leave us with a second and third plus whatever we get for Steele and /or Marshall (but prefer to keep)
Steele is contracted so we might as well keep him then. Third rounder, lol.

Okay I'll bite one more time. One game winning a final was worth 4 years of being one of the highest paid players at the club who played 17% of the games possible? Leadership is great if it's on the park. I think he was a total bust. Embarrassingly so due to the nature of his acquisition. Sydney couldn't believe their luck. Lethlean's Old Xav mate and no due diligence on his fitness. Classic Richo years. Got we had some spuds in that time. Wonder how Dean Kent is going these days. Am sure he's a lovely fella. You can have the last word if you like.

Yes, it was worth it.

I'd rather be embarrassed that we paid Hanners way too much for too long to win us a game then be embarrassed because a twitter account counts how many days since we've won a final (7,649 for those wondering how long it's been for Essendon).
