Now that our season is over, and news is starting to break - it's time for a fresh thread.

This thread is to discuss all things list management - trades, draft, free agency, delistings and more.
As we are now officially in our off-season, we'll be wanting to keep this thread more strictly on-topic than the previous iterations.
Be respectful. You are allowed to disagree with someone - but play the ball, not the man. Repeat offenders will have their posting rights revoked.

Free Agency Period: Friday, October 3rd - Friday, October 10th
Trade Period: Monday, October 6th - Wednesday, October 15th
AFL Draft: Wednesday, November 19th - Thursday, November 20th

A few years back Dayne Zorko was basically looking done as a midfielder and emerging and traded in midfield talent looked like he might need to retire or find somewhere else. Lions gave him the chance as a former captain and key person at the club through a hard period to try a new role and he has delivered in spades.

If Dayne Zorko, a certified shit campaigner, is afforded that opportunity then Jack Steele absolutely deserves the chance.

I bloody hate Essendon.. even though Dodoro has gone.. pinched Cadwell from us when he already said yes to us. Now they also want Flanders even though their club is in major turmoil and tried to buy players with money (copied us again but we won't go there ) F Essendon!!! I wish they win the wooden spoon next year.. though difficult with North and Eagles battle it out for the most pathetic rebuild.

Couldn't love or respect Steele more if he's been told he might not get mid minutes or is a chance to miss the 22 at times and he still wants to stay on.

If he can just get his legs right there is no reason he can't still be effective for us as a cooler or out on a wing/spare mid coming up.

Is underrated for how good he is overhead - mainly because he's spent 8 years buried at the bottom of packs

Don't think you are correct on Caldwell, we cut off comms once Crouch said yes, that was on the Saints.
