I don’t mind having a ‘Time Share’ arrangement for Bruce Reville. Perhaps you could sing his praises for HOME games and I’ll glaze him to the max for AWAY matches.

Doedee is a dud, Joyce is a dud. He is at least better than them.

Nah - Doedee can spend his offseason watching what Lester does behind play. If anything he's likely to mirror Lester's role whenever he steps in so it's no shame in understanding how he's currently playing the role effectively.

Be it coming forward to intercept or taking off on a run to wing so the kicker can put the ball in front of him etc - there are elements that Doedee can start implementing in his VFL plays. Once he gets comfortable replicating it in 2s, he can be brought in to play that role in first 22.

Doedee still has contract till 2027 so there is a year of getting fit and establishing himself on the 3rd tall role. He can add his own attacking flair eventually but hope he can work on building a baseline level first - after 2 years in sidelines from AFL.

Didn't Darragh Joyce play a few consecutive matches some seasons ago when Harris was out injured and we won every game?

Or was that when Lachie spent some time out.

Do better ffs.

Doedee is working hdi way back from back to back ACLs which is never easy.

Joyce did a job for us when needed and can play a role. We can't have a team full of superstars all the time. We need our fair share of role players.

Doedee is done as an AFL player, for the reason you stated, multiple knee injuries. He wouldn't be starring for West Coast.

When Payne was injured last year.

Looks like we went 4-2. I agree he was quite important for us to keep things together as the second tall.

Doedee was a very good player. Because of his injuries our selection of him has proven a dud but I thought it a risk worth taking.
Collingwood had a problem up forward so they recuited Membury (wrong spelling ? but I cannot be bothered to look it up) and McSpray from us. These blokes are only handy and Collingwood have some handy forwards Mihocek and Elliott.
Doedee fit and well was close to an elite player and it is worth taking a risk on such players.

Ignoring the "dud" chat, I think Doedee deserves a chance to see how he pulls up with a full preseason next year as well as some continuity on field. Also psychologically I think it was good for him to find his way back to play an AFL game this season even if it didn't set the world on fire.

I like your energy but I have a harder time believing in this one than I did Lester

I like Reville but can't see him ever being more than a fringe player. Hopefully with a solid pre-season and injury free Doedee will be the one to fill out our backline and take over once Lester retires.

We need guys like Reville to be fringe role players. Who knows one day he could turn into the next Ryan Lester..

Yep, was in this clip. Disgraceful by TFS:

Genuinely, does anyone watch TFS? When we are bombarded with every show under the sun, this would have to be bottom of the barrel and not even on an AFL network.

You’re pretty keen to write him off. He may or may not make it back, but he’s got the chance in the off season to really focus on his fitness without worrying about playing football. A full pre-season and real confidence in his body, he has every chance of continuing his career.

Ed Richards has been elite transitioning from half back to midfield, Jaspa Fletcher could have a similar impact if he made the move IMO, it's a matter of when he can find a slot in there.

Daniel Annabel has been highly impressive in his VFL appearances for us as well, how the hell are we going to fit all these midfielders in our 23, Annabel might be a candidate for a half back role, loves to tackle and has got a good leg on him as well, although with everyone fit we are stacked down back for smalls/mediums too.
