Funny Geelong never seems to have to choose who to keep and let go while bringing in huge name players constantly hey.
(we haven't had to either yet. Don't know why people assume we will have to).

On First Crack tonight King, Montagna and Dixon were salivating about the battle of the master coaches ie. Scott v Mitchell.... it was vomit worthy.Yeah but we are evil for it and its unfair and bla bla bla.
Geelong are just brilliantly managed, greatest coach of all time, just the best at what they do and so on and so forth.
Darragh Joyce OOC this season, would Jordan Butts be a meaningful upgrade on Darragh?
in a vacuum sure. however, from my pov, depth / fringe players on the list should be either:Would be great depth, there’s an argument he’d be playing ahead of Gardiner right now
I’m sure our LM team would be having pretty pointed conversations with his manager about intentions. As mentioned, if he indicates he wants out i’d hope the club maximises it and gets on the front foot. Plenty of elite players who are happy to take unders for success. Could dangle whatever picks we got for him to someone willing to sacrifice $$$ for premierships/lifestyle.Looks gone to me. Hopefully doesn’t start a trend within the club, but if he goes will be disappointing, but not the end of the world. As long a he knows he may get a lot more money, but the friendships he has now may not be the same.

Would have to trade for him. Which they're willing to do according to the report, but us and the Eagles won't know his decision till our season is done.
That's got to be band 1 he's already in our top 5 money earners West Coast would need to trade to not get pick 2 otherwise![]()
900K for a lockdown defender, wtf? These market is mental. See cya Starevich, thanks for the memories.

what is everyone going on about Zac Bailey, have all of you just lost your mind, theres been 0 indication from Bailey that hes going anywhere
I've already told my kids if I start forgetting which team I follow or I think Vossy is still our captain whack me into a home and don't come and visit me or better still make it look like an accident and roll me off the top of cliff face on one of my treks.Yep. Couldn't agree more. Where the hell has that all come from?
I don't want any of you involved deciding whether or not I should go into a nursing home or not....

I am not aware of how much $ n how long a deal we have offered him but it would be difficult to say no imo to WC when he is possibly only 1 concussion away from ending his career.![]()

What sort of coin do we think Starce would be on at the moment and what would be the highest we would go?
Now 650K? Our offer 725K? Could we afford to go 900K for 2026 and then down to 700-25K for the remainder of the offer?
Even though Starce is elite at his role I agree that 900K is too much for him/that role.
I wonder if we could offer an insurance policy to Starce in the event of a head knockWhatever market's offering I'd take about 10-15% off it. Our offer would be somewhere around 750 is my guess.
I don't see us doing 900k. We would offer an extra year with a trigger possibly so the total would look the same or even higher may be. Let's say West Coast offer is 900k over 4, we could be offering 750 over 5, with that extra year and 750 as an incentive to stay.
