All the teams know that draft pick value is going to be diminished this year, because of the diluted draft. We're gonna have to cough up, because our Pick 8 or whatever we end up with is probably gonna pick the 15th best player in the draft.

Idk whats happening with Fred Rodriguez - hes not even being mentioned for top-10 contention - but I think he'd be a great fit for us

Rory Wright as a Sandy boy also climbing up

If we finish anywhere from 10-18 then there'll be plenty of open-pool INSIDE MIDS for us to target

Howard's always had issues. Its just becoming more obvious. He's always been terrible on the run.

Taking battle out of this side hasn't helped either. There's no one who can run up and back like he can.

Wilkie is an amazing one on one defender and he's great reading the play. But he's not capable like battle was in terms of covering the ground and also when the ball hit the deck.

Battle in the side covered alot of these things up.

Plenty of inside mids from 10 - 18 for us to target but lets trade that pick for Bergman ?

Have you seen the footage of Wilson yelling out to Howard to take Harry and Howard refusing to do it ? And Wilson had do it, that’s rubbish from Howard

As i said there were a few instances where he let himself and the team down. But at the same time the bloke was limping in vision. Shouldnt have been out there.

There seems to be a common thread at the moment whereby some of our guys are just expected to push through.

At the end of the day that can be to our detriment.

I'll clarify my point so you can fully understand my perspective

I would be happy if the club traded a late first rounder OR a future first for Bergman

I would be unhappy if the club traded a pick 1-10 for Bergman (subject to change depending on draft pool)

I think Bergman can be a best 22 midfielder in a premiership-contending team going forward - more so than other HB-mid players such as Coffield/Jones etc. Even if he doesn't make it, I think he can be one of the competition's best medium defenders to replace Webster - so its a high floor. IMO that's the difference between this and other hopeful mids we've acquired in the past - I think Bergman can be locked in the best 22 even if he doesn't make it as a mid

I do not think he is Patrick Dangerfield reincarnated. It was merely the first name to come to mind when I saw a clip of Bergman bursting out of a stoppage at the weekend
