If we could somehow turn our first + change into Flanders + Bergman that would be huge. A long way to go, but it looks like a pretty good draft to be trading out of as it stands
Maybe a future first and back ourselves in? This years first will likely be a top four or five pick which I think we have to use.

It’s top 5 as it stands as Eagles will no doubt get pick 2 compo for Allan.

Eagles Duff Tytler
Eagles Duursma/Sharp

Absolutely plenty of midfield talent on the board for us here.

Side note: they likely lose Reid in 12 months. Surely you are asking Richmond for both of those picks for him now and going to the draft with picks 1-4 this year if you are West Coast.

I agree but it does happen.

Lachie neale was a later pick
Warner at Sydney was a later pick

How many of hawthorn's midfield were top end picks?

What pick was phillips at the dogs he's going good.

Not everything has to be like the dees.
Wilkie
Sinclair
Marshal

King had his best year the year of 2022. Next big thing! Ross has only had him for 23 games in his 3 years at the club, 21 if you count the games he got injured in. It's sad, it's all it is. King's contract was justified, he was flying this pre season dominating match sim, looked like he was ready to dominate the comp physically. Fingers crossed it works out for him, as it all is just really sad.

So of our 12 first round picks between 2011 and 2023 only Ross, Allison and NWM haven't missed significant chunks of time through injury. That's diabolical. That's one of the biggest reasons we're in such a hole right there.

Take it easy. Allison had plenty of injuries in between his 4 disposal games.

How does he get it better?. Assuming he might just need to let it rest for a couple of months? I’m not doctor but it sounds like even they are confused

It’s an interesting discussion….do you continue to upgrade current players with B graders, who improve the team now, but aren’t good enough to win a flag 🤷‍♂️
If we draft someone , they probably won't be a freakish talent , but they might be.
If we trade for Flanders, we know he won't be.

If we are giving contracts based on pre season form, how many years would Bonner have gotten?
