If Butters and and Nas both want to leave end of this season we have to get him. It’s a perfect trade. If he doesn’t want to play for us we need to change his mind.

Amazing how many injuries the bombers have and yet Gresham still can't get a game in the ones lol very good list management letting him go

Is there a less penetrating kick in the game than Gresham? He's been really ordinary for a number of years. Couldn't believe people couldn't see it. Thanks bombers.
It would be nice if Collard really came on to make the most of it. Really liked the look of him earlier in the year but has faded enormously. Has some fantastic traits. He's been really ordinary for a number of years. Couldn't believe people couldn't see it. Thanks bombers.

Changing his mind = Top 8 in 2026 looking to push Top 4 in 2027 imoIf Butters and and Nas both want to leave end of this season we have to get him. It’s a perfect trade. If he doesn’t want to play for us we need to change his mind.
It’s still currently TuesdayMaybe next Tuesday.
What they think, and the reality of the situation, are two different things.Go suggest that on the main board Nas thread. Port supporters don’t seem to believe Bergman could POSSIBLY be traded (don’t actually, it’s one of the stupidest ****ing threads I’ve ever seen)
Bombers fans were right, we should’ve given them our first rounder to cop that cheeks contract. They got fleecedAmazing how many injuries the bombers have and yet Gresham still can't get a game in the ones lol very good list management letting him go
Genuinely made this argument for about 12 pages, it was rebuffed with “hE jUst siGneD a ConTract”.What they think, and the reality of the situation, are two different things.
Bergman is a very good player. I like him. But he is nowhere near the player NWM is, both now and in future potential.
I’m not biased in saying that. Neutrals are all saying it. In fact Sam Mitchell’s comments about NWM at his after match presser a few weeks ago is an ever increasing view about NWM as awareness about his talent continues to grow.
Port do not have the draft currency in terms of picks, and probably don’t want to trade players as the alternative form of draft currency. Fair enough, but if they don’t then a deal is never getting done.
The fact that NWM is so talented, and that Port cannot/will not facilitate a reasonable trade now, is probably the main reason NAS will re-sign with the Saints in the short term.
But over top bud ….ive not read anything about dislike for the kid but carry on..Running around without an opponent? You mean All Australian premiership defender Steven May? The amount of disrespect Keeler receives from our own supporters is ridiculous. Remember the pass to Higgins against Collingwood on his opposite foot threaded between 5 pies defenders, no 200cm players can do that. Or kicking goals on the run from 60 metres. But he hasn’t done anything special? The likes of Max Heath is 2 years older and about 10kg heavier than Keeler. Once he puts on another 8kg and can win some one on ones he will be pretty special. Here’s the season averages of some of the comps youngest key forwards prior to the weekend-
Jed Walter 7.4 disposals 1.2 goals
Jye Amiss 7.6 disposals 1.1 goals
Isaac Keeler 6.8 disposals 0.9 goals
Ethan Read 6.6 disposals 0.9 goals
Matt Jefferson 4 disposals 0.4 goals
Max Gruzewski 3.7 disposals 0.7 goals
Prior to his 1 possession stinker his averages matched that of Walter and Amiss, two top 10 draft picks. I’m over the amount of hate this kid gets just because get gets bodied occasionally. Not many of the above forwards are drawing the likes of Barrass and Harris Andrews either. We’ve set him up to fail by making him be the main focal point when he should have been eased in to take the 2nd or 3rd defender, a luxury most young KPF’s get. And his 1 game as a defender drew far better stats than any of tauru’s games so far but literally went unnoticed. I find it bizarre how many supporters generally dislike and don’t rate this kid.
Yeah this would be the only trade I walk away from going …that’s okIf Butters and and Nas both want to leave end of this season we have to get him. It’s a perfect trade. If he doesn’t want to play for us we need to change his mind.
It would be nice if Collard really came on to make the most of it. Really liked the look of him earlier in the year but has faded enormously. Has some fantastic traits.
I tend to think a lot of the “don’t ruin relationships” stuff is a bit overblown. If it was true no one would have ever worked with Dodoro but even if it was true, and bailing on TDK for Butters burned us with managers I’d do it.Yeah this would be the only trade I walk away from going …that’s ok
I mean ….if you had to offer 1.7/8/9? To anyone to move them a year earlier and lose Nas Butters would be it
You’d be saying to him - you’re going next year anyway how bout we just give you your FA deal right now cut to the case if Nas is hell bent on going home …surely he’d listen but what that might mean for TDK who knows …
Won't take a lot to change for Keeler and Sharman to struggle for a spot in the best 23.
TDK ruck
Howard, Wilkie and Aleer defence
King, Caminiti and Owens fwd
That's based on a lot of recency bias - TDK was almost #1 ruck in the comp at the start of the season
And even if that's true, that's fine. Next couple of years is about the core starting to gel and ideally consolidating itself in the 8. We don't need TDK at his full potential during this period. We probably contend for the flag 2028 onward when TDK is 29 with 2-4 All Australian years left before the transition to Dodson starts
Caleb Windsor is an interesting one over at Melbourne. I really liked him at draft time and doesn’t seem to have been settled into a clear, regular role for whatever reason as yet. I would just stick him on one wing with Windy on the other and say we’re sorted there for years.
We literally could offer Nas 3 million. It's not the money, Gents--for the 5000th time--it is the potential go home factor.
No doubt they do, but just bears watching from afar if Goodwin can’t seem to settle him as a regular imoThey love him. He isn't going anywhere.
It took Gawn 7 years in the AFL system to become good, Rucks always take time outside of freaks like Nic Nat.
Gawn is one of the best rucks this game has seen and yet it takes time.
I honestly don’t think professional is enough that’s expected at this level Lyon brought that
We don’t have a competitive advantage against 12 other clubs
Hawks trying desperately hard to become the “bayside hawks” ….with their shit colours they’ll prostitute themselves anywhere and still be called Horethorn
We need success and sustainable success to change our narrative and the stigma attached to our club
To do that we need to improve the list
TDK is overs right now - we all know it
IF he hits early season form and becomes the dominant mobile ruck in the game …it’s genius
But clubs like ours have to take that risk especially after throwing coin and being knocked back by every decent mid
He’s not Hamil or Gehrig type coup ….but could be a start IF we can get the best out of him and keep kids development going
