Highly doubt that'll happen because clubs are too scared of offending each other and in this case pissing off the AFL. 2020 was the one year clubs had the guts and that particular draft class with all its questions contributed. It'll be the same farce that saw Naicos fall to 4 and the Ashcrofts taken at 2 and 5.

Possibly. Even probably. Which would be disappointing.

But the two clubs could share the load of bidding for the players. They will likely have the first 4 picks in the draft.

For example, West Coast and Richmond fire in a bid on their first pick, but after it is matched, draft a player that is not in an academy with their original pick.

It will be interesting to see what happens.

I’m not an expert on the draft system but I assume Blues could use future picks to go into deficit.

It’s possible Blues could also be in a dilemma with the compensation pick they receive for losing TDK as a free agent. That compensation pick could be around the pick where Dean is bid on.

Similar to the dilemma Bombers had with their first pick in the draft last year and the timing of a bid for Kako.

Wilson and Travaglia can run as hard as Hill ( Trav eventually). Wilson is a vital cog that really needs to step up.
We are losing both Hill and Wood sooner than later.
Maybe Tauru is actually a wingman but I am unsure of his aerobic capacity.
Think only Byrnes and Wilson are close to Hill for running endurance.

Actually, didn’t Hill signed a three year deal? Might be seeing him around the place for a little while yet.

Not ONE poster on the board has said that a lot of our pain is not self inflicted. Not one. We all know our history - some really bad decisions and, yes, a fair amount of bad luck, with players retiring prematurely etc.

It does not, however, alter one iota, the farcical inequities of a so-called professional competition. Not even considering the usual discussion points of F/S and NGAs etc ; consider the fact an ex-Cats board member ran the AFL investigation into their (below the board) player payments and found no wrongdoing. Seriously?
