Doubt it’s that black and white, especially if he’s home sick.just wow'd him to the point he signed
Building your cap up to use your 105% is to acquire new talent - which in our case means paying overs.
The purpose isn’t just to throw everything at Nas. It defeats the purpose about getting better.
This I agree with, which is why I think our best chance is to blow Adelaide and Port out the water with 2 year deal with triggers for 3-5 years. Hutchy’s absolutely right in his assessment I reckon.
Potentially deal could look like 1.7m (2026), 1.85 (2027), 2m (2028 - subject to trigger and player agreement), 2.15m (2029 - subject to trigger and player agreement), 2.3m (2030 - subject to trigger and player agreement) then add incentives predominantly in early years.

No no, hindsight hero fink club badDoubt it’s that black and white, especially if he’s home sick.
All for being critical with how the club has handled the situation but it’s pretty futile to do so whilst it’s still a live situation.
What until Max starts playing again and you remember he is not that good. Then you will be really frustrated.Yep agree. With all of my medical expertise. I just want him to be the generational forward lynchpin we were all hoping he'd be. That's just tail lights in the mirror at this stage. Have become super frustrated with him. Not his fault I know. Just the amount of hope and hype that was attached to him as a player to build a flag tilt around and the reality that he's looking like an injury bust with poor body language when he has been on the park.
based on the sentiment in this thread if NAS goes this is going to blow up massively.
there is absolutely no way SOS can spend a minute more at the club.
TBH i'd be asking why the executive at the club didn't step in. any offer above X amount has to be ticked off by the president so if he's not asking for it to be increased and oversees this mess. i think he needs to go as well.
I reckon BigFooty will crash for sure.based on the sentiment in this thread if NAS goes this is going to blow up massively.

I can’t remember who said it, but someone said that basically all the long term contracts are fake. Nothing more than a handshake agreement, because the AFL won’t sign off them officially.based on the sentiment in this thread if NAS goes this is going to blow up massively.

The Prez started off the 40 years member night by saying that, doing everything they can.
I’ve seen a number of people pot the club for not offering enough/as much as Port and Adelaide have.I don’t see too many people criticizing the club right now (other than noting IF we’re not increasing our offer at this point it’s negligent).
Most of the criticism is about if we don’t manage to sign him and he leaves, added with if we haven’t increased our offer because we refuse to pay him unless he commits for longer than 2 years, then we’ve ****ed up.
I think it’s valid but also if he stays I’ll be happy regardless.
Pre emptive criticism if you will.
Max's contract expires at the end of 2028.
If he hits a games played trigger the 2nd half of the deal kicks in (unlikely at this stage).
A key point willfully ignored by many who want to keep the bad St Kilda narrative going.
It’s still really pre emptive to be fair.I’ve seen a number of people pot the club for not offering enough/as much as Port and Adelaide have.
None of us know how much we’ve offered, but the club have routinely stated they wouldn’t be outbid.
There have been plenty arguing the club don’t know what they’re doing etc.
Could have said the same about NAS 2 years ago. Tauru has shown more upside than NAS in his first year. Who would have thought Hall would be a must sign before the season was out?Imagine losing Nas because we were worried about this group coming out of contract:
Tauru, Hastie, Hill, Wilkie, Garcia, Clark, Sinclair, Steele, Macrae, Barrat, Collard, Henry, Wood, Marshall, Travaglia
Which players in there ^ are even remotely close to breaking the bank in 2 years?
Its not factIs this a fact? If it is then it's not a too bad result.
Bottomline is everyone wants him on the park.
You weren’t aware of it, because it’s seemingly not true.

King of Moorabbin for eight more years
Max King has inked a fresh eight-year deal, set to call RSEA Park home until at least the end of 2032.www.saints.com.au
“Until at least 2032”
It’s a nice cope, though.
