Fogarty and Boyd still contracted are howlers…

To be fair though, Austin is still trying to clean up the mess SOS left behind…

SPS, Stocker, O’Brien, Dow, Philp, Ramsay etc etc
Up until this year Boyd has been pretty much a best 22 lock when healthy, he also has traits that we desperately lack in the senior team - Kicking talent.

Was fair enough to give him the extension imo. Still have no idea what happened to him this year to find himself on the outer.

Fat?
No other clubs are chasing after him so just give him a 1 year contract and that's it. Happy to move him on if he doesn't like it.
I've just double punned and you give me this back...lift.

We've no idea who may be chasing him. I'm.worried about the Eagles. As Belinda Carlisle once said, Evans has a place in Perth.

He's just put together the most convincing month of small forward craft we have seen in years...I'm certainly not happy to move him on.

Only as good as your form. His kicking was bog average last year.

Agreed and you can add Binns and Boyd to that. None of those blokes would get a spot on a list at any other club IMO.

Nowadays clubs cannot afford to have any list spots wasted on blokes who are just not good enough, let alone 4.
I was always a bit surprised at the Binns selection after we took Ollie with our first. It was obvious that Voss wanted to draft running players, but neither give us leg speed although Ollie does take the game on.

Binns is an honest plodder who's biggest asset is that he can get up and down the ground all day. I actually don't mind that he's got another year to see if he can improve his game to get to AFL standard. Not confident though.

Ideally, Billy and Charleson become our rebounding half backs, Ollie moves back to the wing where he should be, Lucas locks in the other wing position - and Binns either becomes depth or moved on.

Yeah, but 3 wings in with OH, Binns + Acres was a trade. Overkill.

Lucas needs to drill the skills.

Billy was a midfield hope but looks like it’ll be backline. Would have liked to see Garry given a run in the 1’s at the end, as hoping he can be another defender to add to kicking.

Why? The bloke is an absolute myth and outside of TDK has drafted bust after bust from the 2nd round onwards.

Not just the second round...

2016 -> SPS + Fisher
2017 -> Dow + LOB
2018 -> Walsh + Stocker
2019 -> Kemp + Philp

He has absolutely SUCKED at picking midfielders... can throw Cunners in there too even...

Even more bizarre is that they delisted LOB only to take Binns when LOB had another year and had to be paid out a year early. He must have really upset someone.We also would’ve had Lucas on our radar then too, albeit a couple years at that stage.

I’ve seen enough of Binns, he isn’t going to make it. We should cut our losses now IMO.

At least Fog, Boyd and Durds have looked like AFL players. That said, if we could, I’d get rid of those blokes too. It’s really poor list management to have to pay players out a year early but I don’t see any other club trading for them.

I agree, it's taken Frankie time to adjust to our system. it's a fairly small sample, but who has shown more promise and game sense than any of our other smalls since probably Eddie?
Have a closer look at his VFL stats before his late season AFL games. He's been a bit inaccurate or unlucky, but his tackle numbers have been outstanding.
He's earnt a 2 year contract, I'd like to see us add 1 more young small forward with explosive pace and good goal sense at the expense of Fog, Fanta and Durds. Then reassess our weakest link with a Williams, Frank, Mots, Flynn, Moir, White and Gothard??? combo.

Ooo Jacky, do you know what that's worth?

Hopefully the dogs come armed with a big fat contract for silvagni.
Their defence is putrid.
2 first rounders as compo would be very tasty …
Yes, because we can afford to lose him from our defence. Maybe we should all buy and wear - Let’s make others great - hats.

I was more taken aback by the idea that Jack was worth two first-rounders as a compo pick; we most likely get a second.
