Apologies for any inconvenience. We will try to find a replacement.
To me that "hanger" Charlie took where he barely got off the ground shows that he is a long way from 100% - we probably need to book him in for whatever surgery he needs now and let him have a full pre-season.Can't believe I'm saying this, but ...
I'm starting to lean towards trading Charlie and keeping Harry.
Given the incredibly moronic trade suggestion, are you sure you even want access to the article? Talk about a brain cell killer.

He's just come off three surgeries this off season. Why does he need another surgery? To me that "hanger" Charlie took where he barely got off the ground shows that he is a long way from 100% - we probably need to book him in for whatever surgery he needs now and let him have a full pre-season.
We are a mid table side missing 6 1/2 of our 7 best forwards.Let’s not overstate Harry McKay’s absence, it wouldn’t leave an unfillable gap.
Statistically, our forward line ranks among the league’s worst for converting inside 50s into scores.
The McKay/Curnow combination has rarely delivered consistent results, and the modern game demands a more diverse set of scoring options rather than relying on two $1M+ key forwards.
In reality, someone like Tim Membrey, who was available as a delisted free agent, would have offered Carlton a greater output in 2025.

Our developing half back/wing options areFlorent would be a short term upgrade for sure, but I am not convinced long term that he is a better option than our developing half back/wing options.
I don’t believe our salary cap situation justifies an investment there over patience and development. I am on board for a small forward option if a viable one could be shaken loose. We have too many solid workers and nit enough x-factor in that part of the ground.

I've rephrased it, though it's against my dignity. What!
I'd give you 100,000 reasons whyWe are hardly a destination club. Who would want to join us?
I thought you were harsh on the b- graders until I saw who you had in your c-gradersI really hope we go aggressive with the list turnover at the end of the year.
We’ve got at least 6 players earning A-Grade money, but no one on the list is playing constant A-Grade football.
A-Grade ?
B-Grade - Hewett, Cerra, TDK, Weitering, Haynes, Silvagni
C-Grade - Hollands (been good, disposal holding him back), Williams (injuries) Cripps, Walsh, Saad, McKay, McGovern, Curnow, Cottrell, Fogarty, Docherty (turnovers and fumbles), Lord, Young
D-Grade - Motlop, Durdin, Fantasia, Acres, Binns, Pittonet, Boyd, Carroll (needs development) Evans, Cincotta

That only gives us an edge over other bad clubs (St Kilda etc).I'd give you 100,000 reasons why
This year yes, does include games as the sub, last year averaged 20The silky ball winner averages 15.4 disposals a game.
Our developing half back/wing options are
Wilson
Ollie
Binns
Lucas
Carroll
Cowan
Charleson
Florent is a proven talent that can play at the level from day 1. Half of those players are likely multiple years away from being consistent performers and Docherty, Saad and Newman are far closer the the end than they all are to being developed senior AFL players.
On a moderate contract and little in cost in terms of trade capital I'm not sure how anyone could pass up Florent if the Swans are happy to deal him in the position we're in.
There lies the truth & a change in coach will not take that list to finals.I really hope we go aggressive with the list turnover at the end of the year.

AgreedOf that 7, there is only 1 player who has shown himself to be AFL quality, a very risky move to base any recruiting decisions based on the rest of list.
Or perhaps Walsh knows the limitations of his back and doesn't think he needs that approach, which he believes is in fact hindering himself and the team. Based on Voss track record with injured players, and Russell's comments about the coaches approach to injured players, I'm not convinced that's Voss gameplan at all.Maybe Voss knows about Walsh's limitations because of his back and is trying to fit him into the team in a role that doesn't put too much stress on Walsh's dodgy back.
