Curnow's manager should have by nowDoes anyone know if Walter is even interested in leaving GC? Media must have asked him by now?
Humphrey is worth more than charlie imo. simply wont be on the table (happy to be proven wrong!)Also a reason it makes sense to ask.
How about Humphrey and Walter for Charlie?

If somebody wants to poach Charlie, they’ll have to pay more than he’s worth.Humphrey is worth more than charlie imo. simply wont be on the table (happy to be proven wrong!)
Humphreys is the guy. Hopefully get him to want to come back to Victoria. Tough sell I know right now but I don’t think players like Walter who are playing in their home state will want to leave with them finals bound for the foreseeable future.Humphrey is worth more than charlie imo. simply wont be on the table (happy to be proven wrong!)

Come on, not in a million years would we get thatAlso a reason it makes sense to ask.

Brad Pearce type…Humphrey, Rainer are the future forward types.
Strong, mobile, good overhead and dangerous. We are heading in that direction with Moir and Kemp, still need at least 1 explosive small FWD to assist Frankie and quality forward entries.
We could structure the entire forward line with only 1 200cm marking target(Harry), and a different forward plan.
Thats why its a nice problem for the Blues to deal with....Charlie might only have a couple yrs to go anyway!!If somebody wants to poach Charlie, they’ll have to pay more than he’s worth.

Shhhhh.this could be ye........a bit of business
Absolutely. Watching him play live he was an absolute menace. For all the criticism of Lemmey being too meek/polite a footballer, Walter is the opposite. He's going to bully defenders when he finds his feet. He attacks the ball in the air and on the ground with real intent, with the frame to support that approach.Walter chases as hard as any KPF in the comp. Probably too busy doing that than getting the ball himself tbh.
He hasn't exploded yet, and may never do... But as a junior he was an absolute freak of nature. In a year Harley Reid belonged to I still had Walter at #1 from memory. He just had every tool for a modern KPF, angry, lightning fast, stick hands and a booking kick.
Don't want to lose Charlie but Walter would certainly make it less of a loss.
I rate Bailey Fritsch and reckon he would significantky improve our forward set up on the scoreboard. How realistic are some of the rumours that we are interested in him?Brad Pearce type…
Bailey Fritsch
EH could have been a POD for us
ZW has shown glimpses, as has F.Young
Midfield improving their disposal and the forwards making space + crumbing
ZW - Kemp - EH / F.Young
Moir - McKay - Evans

That’s way unders.I would be comfortable with Walter + early pick + change.
Hopefully with the change we can find an armfield 2.0 type player
Would be the one you want from GCI have a feeling Humphrey will be getting million dollar offers if he is open to coming back.
Exactly, Butters is one of the best players in the comp. What was dismissive? Forgive me for saying that luring one of the comp's best players is a fantasy... but it is...
And what was "so rude"??
As for compo, do you see a situation where Port aren't going to match? Butters is their marquee player in the middle of his prime. Whoever wants him will be coughing up. There's no way they're letting him walk for band 1 compo, it would be like us not matching for peak Cripps...
Not that Gulden will ever be a part of the trade, but you need Sydney in the conversation. When it comes down to the last day of trading you want multiple clubs to be giving you the best offer…we are miles off the last day of trade weekI’d much rather deal with the Suns or Giants on a trade for Charlie, they have more of the missing pieces we need.
If Sydney aren’t putting up Gulden, I’d shut any further talks, now.
Clubs messaging has been the problem.Good to see a clear unequivocal approach going forward. The Dochertys who were starved of finals and success and on the wrong end of the career were motivated by selfish needs in wanting a top up approach that was very high risk and high reward.
With the lack of depth in the team and the injury history, if we went the top up approach then our salary cap problem would be an utter catastrophe and we would’ve squandered our draft hand. Tdk would still be leaving, and there’s no way we would’ve gone all the way given how far the gap was between us and the other finalists by the time of finals 2024. And then this year that gap was even bigger.
Those on the tail end of their career would’ve let their feelings known but the prospect of being picked up by another team with as good a salary as they’re receiving now was low. So they’ve stayed and stewed. Adding to a clear divide and factions.
In what world could a club achieve the ultimate success with such a cultural divide.
It’s good to see this $hit come out to give context. It’s cathartic for a fan.
Our issues are bigger than just the playing list. But building a list invested in the plan means everyone is playing selfless footy and playing for each other - the type of footy the pies players play and which has seen those turds constantly playing finals.
