Apologies for any inconvenience. We will try to find a replacement.

I'd cut & pay out both Lij and 1 of Fog or Boyd to keep those 2 on the list. Both (especially Willie) exemplify what the club is asking from the players - team first, play for the logo, and leave it all out there.Whats the chances if Flynn and White aren't retained due to no spots. We offer them a vfl contract and see how they go for maybe a spot on the seniors next year.
Carlton when they cut players due to no fault of their own. Do we help them still?
Really feel for them as I think they are worth persisting with. Very sad![]()

I was wondering what will happen with him, even if it was for one season and then trade him for a 2nd or more, that’s good business.Hypothetically... Say we take Ah Chee in the PSD and he doesn't kick up a huge stink about it... This forward line actually looks better than it did this year lmao.
KPD depth is still a massive issue for me. Need to pick up a Derksen or Blight type as a DFA imo, give Dean the opportunity to develop in the VFL and build up his body to compete with the AFL level KPFs.
Lachie Cowan - Jacob Weitering - Harry Dean
Ollie Florent - Nick Haynes - Nic Newman
Ollie Hollands - Patrick Cripps - Campbell Chesser
Marc Pittonet - Jagga Smith - Sam Walsh
Ben Ainsworth - Hudson O'Keefe - Zac Williams
Will Hayward - Harry Mckay - Callum Ah Chee
Adam Cerra - Ashton Moir - Matthew Cottrell - Adam Saad - George Hewett
If we have the cap space for him take him. Then try and trade him for a first rounder next year to AdelaideCan't see us as a chance for Ah Chee, either due to list spaces (tight for us), plus salary cap. I reckon for Adelaide to get Ah Chee in the PSD, they're going to have to put a massive first year salary on Ah Chee, and still hope to navigate past clubs like North, Richmond, WC, etc... It'll be an interesting watch...
I actually think Fog is another heart and soul player, but with Hayward and Ainsworth coming in, Moir looking like he is ready to take the next step, and Kemp returning in the course of this year, some hard calls will need to be made. And I'd be interested in opinions of where Ison, Gresham and Clarke stand in relation to White and F.Young...I'd cut & pay out both Lij and 1 of Fog or Boyd to keep those 2 on the list. Both (especially Willie) exemplify what the club is asking from the players - team first, play for the logo, and leave it all out there.
Has to be some very nervous players atm.
Picks 9 & 11 looking to be upgraded for Top 4-5 pick
Harry Dean
Jack Ison
Looking at Gresham and/or Clarke
Looking at DFA/SSP possibilities for KPD
We have 3 spots and could need up to 6
I posted this a month ago but a contracted player or two could easily be cut
Elijah, White, McGovern, Binns, Fogarty are all a watch IMO
I doubt he gets listed now. List spots just too tight. Wouldn't need points in any case, likely late in the draft or rookie. Is Tyson Gresham an NGA of ours, still someone we are interested in? Do we need points for this too?
rate Flynn higher but yeah shit for any of them if cutI'd cut & pay out both Lij and 1 of Fog or Boyd to keep those 2 on the list. Both (especially Willie) exemplify what the club is asking from the players - team first, play for the logo, and leave it all out there.
We only have one spot - at least until further cuts are made.Has to be some very nervous players atm.

I hope we are more active with trading picks - using 9 on Dean would only be of benefit fi that managed toi convince the AFL not to go too hard on F/S and NGA in 2026, That may be a bit of stretch thoWe only have one spot - at least until further cuts are made.
I can't see us adding any more than 4 players from this point. We just don't have the list spots.
I also can't see us getting a top 4-5 pick. We might upgrade 9 slightly, but we can't use up both picks to get ahead of a Dean bid, as we'd then not have anything to match a bid with.
Current picks: 9, 11, 43, 54, 67, 72
At this stage I think we just use 9 on Dean. 11 on best available, or trade it to 2026 maybe with a pick back at ~30 to match Ison. We won't take all of 43, 54, 67, 72 into the draft, we don't have the spots. I expect we might try trading these in the next few weeks.
Unfortunately on that basis and the commentary out of CFC, EH will make way. His manager is sprouting the right words and says he’s in ripping nick and ready to go (hopefully that’s with us, as EH is wishing as well).Has to be some very nervous players atm.

Doesn’t make much sense dollars wise as he’s under contract already.I'd say we cut hollands and offer a chance to train over summer
Nothing yet, and many here (me included) would prefer we keep him. But I expect we might pay him out.Any news on E. Hollands? Wouldn't mind Hawthorn having a crack if he is delisted
We can’t use 9 as it won’t be 9 by the time a bid comes. It will be 12. 9 and 11 are far more attractive than 15 and 18 that GC hold and 17 and 23 that Brisbane hold. I really hope we make it hard for them to slide back. One pick needs to either be before a bid or moved to next year.We only have one spot - at least until further cuts are made.

if we dont rate anyone this year then i would like to trade for points this year and picks nextWe can’t use 9 as it won’t be 9 by the time a bid comes. We should be ridding ourselves of those that continually let us down and reward those that give their all …Whats the chances if Flynn and White aren't retained due to no spots. We offer them a vfl contract and see how they go for maybe a spot on the seniors next year.
