Apologies for any inconvenience. We will try to find a replacement.
Ollie is only 9 months older than Binns, same birth year, same draft year.Binns is a very interesting one. If nothing else he runs and finds the footy - averaged just under 20 touches in his 4 full games this year, which is good for a second year wing (much better than Ollie Hollands at the same age).
There was no interest from what was gathered - there’s a reason for that…Contract negotiations are exactly that, negotiations.
Motlop might have left if he was only offered a one year contract. To off set that we may have offered two years on less money. I’d rather have Motlop on the list than not
Agree on Binns.
Personally I think White showed more than Young.
Happy with this. Liked what I saw in the back end if the year. Nice user by foot and is pretty close role wise to Elijah. Obviously not at that level yet but fine depth.

Happy for Flynn but feel for JaxonWell done Flynn, so happy for him.![]()
That was over 2 years ago.Agree, some short memories on here.
In '23 he was pivotal to finally putting some tackling pressure into our forward line - his first match was our turnaround game against the suns where we went 10-2 for the remainder of the season.
Skull would be the one, he’s been on the rookie list the longest, and only qualifies for another year on it due to lack of senior games.I think you can also promote a rookie to resolve
Maybe Lord or Evans?
Personally would have rather kept White than Young. White has a clear albeit underdeveloped point of difference as a high energy player which I would have liked to see develop further. Not sure what Young's point of difference is tbh. Maybe they want to try developing him into a reliable 'solid citizen' kind of player?
Binns on the other hand seems like a pretty sensible decision, all things considered.

Went and watched one of the open training sessions just after Flynn was drafted.I like White, but think Young looks better.
He’s a good kick, and makes some really smart decisions. He took some time to catch up to the pace of the game, but he only came in in the mid-season draft. I think his composure improved pretty dramatically.
Wait till he gets a preseason in with the team.
Yeah, but if we go that way likely he gets cut first for the draft points, and then back through the Rookie Draft or SSPWhite may still survive
I don’t see young and white playing the same roles so still a possibility for white
Good problems to haveYeah, but if we go that way likely he gets cut first for the draft points, and then back through the Rookie Draft or SSP
Are you expecting Lij to be cut?Yeah, but if we go that way likely he gets cut first for the draft points, and then back through the Rookie Draft or SSP
In 23 (his glory year according to those on here), he still barely averaged this. Less than 12.5 touches a game and 4 goals 4 from 12 games. He was only ever at best a good, honest toilet and not the kind that needed a 2 year extensions to keep the other clubs from desperately chasing his services. That was over 2 years ago.
So not short, but we all still remember.
Since 23 he’s played 35 games for only 20 goals. But the bigger issue is if he manages to get a mark or free kick 20 out directly in front he’s more likely to miss than to nail it.
You just can’t carry a 26 year old forward who has averaged less than 12 touches a game for the last two years who is that unreliable in front of goal.
I agree with a lot of what’s been said positively about Fog, but he doesn’t kick enough goals, for a small forward.Agree, some short memories on here.

How good would it be to have a home like Ikon Park where you feel a belonging, have plenty of mates & get paid for it. Plus you can access fitness equipment, train and throw up whenever you want?Saw Gov at the club a couple of weeks ago. At the gym and doing repeat sprints around Princes Park.
Stopped a few metres from me to spew up at one stage. Looked in great shape and was training really hard.
Yes.Are you expecting Lij to be cut?
There was no interest from what was gathered - there’s a reason for that…
Durd’s happening behind the scenes was more likely the catalyst but I still fail to see the reason in the re-signing.
Ahh I see. We've moved from cardboard dependence to plastic wrap.20 years ago the club was bankrupt & depended on bequeathments from cardboard kings.
Glad we’ve moved on.
We need to free up his list spot.I see “play your role” Binns has been cut wth a year left on his contract…
Why not allow him to play out his contract in the vfl?
