Apologies for any inconvenience. We will try to find a replacement.
I would and did because he was wrong. List changes announced confirm this
AhhhIt would be that if he gets the SSP spot, it would continue as normal, and if he doesn't, we will pay him out.

Delist him and invite to pre season training
The fact is, we will need to take at least 4 picks into the draft for matching and swapping purposes.
We have 2 spots available now.
Therefore 2 of the below will need to be delisted
Binns
Hollands
Mcgovern
Boyd.
If we take a DFA before the draft, then 3 will need to be delisted.
My bet is is will be 2 delisted.
Take a maximum of 3 in the draft, leaving 1 spot for a dfa post draft.
Think we have to keep a rookie spot open if we’re offering train-on positions already/SSP.So, we have:
32 Senior
6 Cat A
2 Cat B
players for the 1st list lodgement.
I reckon by far the most likely scenario from here is 3 in the ND and elevate a Rookie (Hudson O'Keefe), and then the 1 vacancy for the SSP.
That is spot on what is going to happen. So, we have:

If we are inviting White back to train who is a small forward we should invite one of the better state league smalls forwards like Foot , Gore and Conforti as well to train over summer as well and pick the best performerThink we have to keep a rookie spot open if we’re offering train-on positions already/SSP.
Not really: Will Phillips is also available. For all our sake I hope Lij takes the most of this opportunity.
He is one step away from being out of the AFL despite his immense talent. Make the most of it.
There's only so many players we are allowed to invite to train on per available list spot (2), and there's insurance costs and wages to pay (relatively minor). If we are inviting White back to train who is a small forward we should invite one of the better state league smalls forwards like Foot , Gore and Conforti as well to train over summer as well and pick the best performer
Goal sense was fine? Was also one of the best in AFL for kicking efficiency in the F50. He worked his backside off and sprayed a few shots as a result.I liked Whites zip but he seems a really poor kick & goal-sense not where it needed to be for a senior small fwd.
White came to us with nothing and on nothing. hes quite likely to do the same and go for the reserves / chance for mid season / injury etcThat is spot on what is going to happen.
The train on spot will be a very hard decision.
Will it be based on needs or ability.
If you were going for talent you'd go Elijah.
If you were looking for attitude, guts & determination you'd go for White!!
And a few others such as Jaiydn Stephenson in mix for final spot.

It also gives the club a bit of breathing space to make a final call.It would be that if he gets the SSP spot, it would continue as normal, and if he doesn't, we will pay him out.
Yeah, elevating a Rookie (Skull) after the draft creates that spot.Think we have to keep a rookie spot open if we’re offering train-on positions already/SSP.
Do they drug test when players are out injured for over 12 months?Thithorpe is a freakin unit, only 23yrs, might take Harry a while if he can even get anywhere near that, great if he gets close..
More of a courtesy & encouragement with WW (hopeful he’ll be in our VFL squad for next year too) but our forwards are covered ATM.If we are inviting White back to train who is a small forward we should invite one of the better state league smalls forwards like Foot , Gore and Conforti as well to train over summer as well and pick the best performer
I think it's 2 per. There's also a maximum total, 4 or 6, don't recall.More of a courtesy & encouragement with WW (hopeful he’ll be in our VFL squad for next year too) but our forwards are covered ATM.
Knock the door down and maybe a capable MSD pick, if required.
Is it 2, 3 or 4 players allowed to train-on per open position (1 which we’ll have & 2 players allocated)?
That line-up barely moves the needle on our speed and endurance issues, while improving foot skills in maybe one spot on the ground, or two.If Twomeys mail of us being keen on Dovaston is correct, we could be lining up something like this across 2026. Definitely not a rebuilding side with a very good senior group still there to support the kids. I'd suspect a 10th-6th place finish.
If we then have another strong off season in 2026 adding Cody + a free agent or two we could be back playing deep into finals sooner than we think.
Lachie Cowan - Jacob Weitering - Harry Dean
Ollie Florent - Nick Haynes - Nic Newman
Sam Walsh - Patrick Cripps - Campbell Chesser
Marc Pittonet - Jagga Smith - George Hewett
Ben Ainsworth - Harry McKay - Elijah Hollands
Ashton Moir - Hudson O'Keefe - Will Hayward
Adam Cerra - Zac Williams - Lachie Dovaston - Ollie Hollands - Adam Saad
Really do hope Elijah can have a big pre season and earn that one last chance with the club. His ball use is the best we have on the list imo.
Kemp and Cotters stiff to miss out but it's purely a matter of hypotheticals this far out.
44. Francis Evans (Pre-Season SSP Rookie 2025) ?
Florent, Chesser, Ainsworth and Hayward are all considerable upgrades in terms of our speed and endurance issues. I'd much rather others outside of Dovaston but if we end up selecting him I'm not going to kick up much of a stink. That line-up barely moves the needle on our speed and endurance issues, while improving foot skills in maybe one spot on the ground, or two.
This is why I'm not a huge fan of grabbing Dovaston, or leaving Acres and McGovern out of the team by default. Kemp might not be able to front up for round 1, but he'd be in ahead of one of the rucks IMO.
